Can I ask, could I just use a small paint brush to "paint" that first highlight of white soap into the mold? I've never made soaps before so maybe there is a reason, but I am interested in trying.

The idea that someone would criticize you regarding your books is appalling. You are remarkable. Is there nothing that you can’t do. Plus having to work through Covid. I am a retired nurse. I feel like I dodged a huge bullet with Covid. I’m sorry you had to go through that.❤️

A general soap question. I was making soap lady bugs. It had me thinking. Can I pour the bugs and then use edible ink to color the dots? It’s tough to make black soap dots that are uniform before they harden in pipette. Edible ink because edible wouldn’t be toxic. Thoughts?! Thanks🧼

To weigh. Put the mold dry onto the scale. Tare the scale. It should read 0. Now add your melted soap into one of the squares and note the weight. Let dry there. Now you know how much soap you need. Make a note for next time. Also, if you want, now fill all four and see the weight for all four. Note the weight. Also, you should be weighing out your mica, same way as described above. This way you will get the same outcome each time. The molds look like the only difference would be one mold is just slightly bigger. You are so creative.

New to your channel and appreciate you sharing your creativity with us. I'm new to the melt and pour soap world. I've tried two brands of the m&p goat milk soap and find that there is little lather😖 do you have any tricks to help to increase this factor? Thanks again for all your help.
@CougarLyfe Жыл бұрын
Hi! I know this video is a year old. To weigh, you didn’t have to pour water into the mold and then pour water into container on the scale. All you had to was put mold on the scale, rare it to 0. Then pour the water into the mold to get your weight amount. Love the end results 🌹

Hiya just wondering what alcohol u have to use to mix the mica in with please ❤
@koalasoap8435 Жыл бұрын
To mix the mica you can use any kind of isopropyl alcohol 70% or higher. However, If you are going to try to adhere layers together, then you should go up to the 90 percents.

I love all your videos...very informative & helpful as well as entertaining to watch. I was wondering if you could tell me how you keep your melt & pour fluid? I’ve tried the microwave method & double boiler method to melt mine & they always seem to cool down too quickly or start seizing when I reheat them. Is there a secret I don’t know about lol? Thank you so much for all that you do & sharing.

I just found you, fascinated by the use of an Australian animal thought I’d found another Aussie, but no that’s not an Aussie accent. But your a nurse I’m a retired nurse of over 40years experience across various settings & education. I am so sorry to hear you lost some colleagues and friends, it’s certainly been a few years to see the back of, we’ve been lucky here where I live very few cases as our border was closed early so far it’s worked well. I hope the coming years will be better for everyone.
