"The lotus cannot be there without the mud. Likewise, happiness can not be there without suffering. Looking deeply into our suffering, we gain an understanding of it, which gives happiness a chance to blossom. Thus, the lotus does not have to reject the mud, and the beauty of the lotus actually gives value to the mud."

@@animenmusic16 Great question! In my view you can love someone deeply and show compassion, but learning detachment is challenging because it’s part of being human. While it may not be what everyone wants to hear I believe that keeping the end in mind allows us to live more meaningfully. It’s not about stopping love but rather about being at peace with letting go-leaving the world and the people in it to follow their own paths, without clinging or control.

@@kristinethevideo but does attachment mean always to control? Do you believe that your view on this might change in the future in order to keep growing as a person and seek the truth a/c to you at the end or is this your final view limit?

@@animenmusic16 i'd say control can be a toxic part of attachment that doesn't always come with it and it depends on you, but to me, the possibility of being able to be attached to someone means more than everything and is the reason i continue everyday, but even if not toxic there are such huge risks that come with it (the more attached you are the more you might get hurt) but accepting is what i 'chose' to do and it's a pretty personal decision, and a risky and dangerous one

Great video! Sadly, my two-year relationship ended a month ago. The person I thought was the love of my life decided to leave, and I’m still deeply in love with him. I can’t stop thinking about him, and despite all my efforts to win him back, nothing has worked. I feel so frustrated and can’t imagine being with anyone else. No matter what I do, he’s always on my mind, and I miss him terribly.

Letting go of someone you love is incredibly hard. I went through a similar experience when my twelve-year relationship ended. I couldn't bear to lose him, so I did everything I could to rekindle our relationship. Eventually, I sought the help of a spiritual counselor, who guided us back together.

That was absolutely breathtaking, truly a breath of realism blown in my face. I find myself often realizing what my lotus is, telling myself I will water it later. Only to realize my lotus is the very essence of "later". Waiting to take action on things I know I need to do now. Thank you for your words I will do my best to carry them forward with me every second from now to grow my lotus into a tree.

About attachment, sure, things fade and get lost, but that doesn’t mean that being attached to something is inherently bad, what is bad is that feeling after not having something. What ya gotta learn is how to not have that feeling, it’s just as difficult as learning to not get attached, but remember that having and losing things is how we work, it’s how you grow and learn, it leads to temporary suffering for a greater growth after. That’s my take, no need to accept it, this is just how I view things and how I grow as a person

I love this video, but I have one problem. 2:30 yes it's important to love yourself, but we are social creatures. it's only natural for us to desire someone to accompany us, whether it be friendship or a life partner. People who have insecurities or doubts about themselves are not unlovable, and are not incapable of finding love. I think what's more important is to realize your flaws, and work on them. You don't have to be the perfect and most secure person in the world to find love from others, and sometimes it takes someone's love for us to realize this and to help us grow into the person we were meant to be.

I think this is what they mean by "finding the missing piece". The piece can't be found in other people, only in yourself. You can be helped by others to search for the piece, but if you search outside of yourself you won't find it. Others may show you clues by showing themselves or tell how they found their pieces, but your pieces are still within you.

I was alone and even when i'm not, i'm lonely, still is. But as @moshrom said, slowly but surely i'm not as lonely as it was, it's started with a delulu tho. But no worries, i realized that i know the feeling of lonely, so instead of me finding company from other, i'll do my best to be someone company, the one to tell them that, "you are feeling lonely, but you do have company". Us humans are strange, they need help, but they can't be help if themselves don't want to be helped.

That’s wrong, change changes. It’s the second derivative. Its upto you if that change is leading in a good thing or bad thing. Then we have the final 4 cases: good end: positive double derivative: the best case, good end: negative double derivative: let the value be good enough to reach the end. Bad end: negative double derivative: may the value be least so it don’t reach the end. Bad end: positive double derivative: you’re done. I must sleep its 8 am

Yeah the one thing I disagree with her to an extent is, humans are social creatures that create bonds, and crave to share & connect with others. I agree that you should definitely have your own back first, and you shouldn't weigh/bet everything on any single person/pet etc. but yeah, you shouldn't do everything on your own & there is a such thing as healthy attachment. Getting hurt/experiencing sorrow is unavoidable, events will happen, people will be lost along the way. You can either try to minimize it/avoid it & get hurt eventually somehow anyway, or you can live a more fruitful life closely, with loved ones, & just accept that loss is inevitable. It's never easy, but you learn how to lose, you miss them, you cherish them, you gain perspective, you practice gratitude & you love even harder the next time, until it's your turn to be missed.

I agree with everything except for the part about attachment. Certainly there are bad ways to get attached to someone or something. But attachments and connections are also very necessary, maybe the most necessary thing in our lives. In my view not getting attached stems from a fear of loss and a desire for control, not the other way around. Does loosing someone hurt? Of course, but there is no joy without suffering. To live life to the fullest we need to risk failure and heartache.

yes to everything, but i think it's important to recognize attachment isn't the problem, unhealthy attachments are the issue. now, that can be considered subjective for some. an example of an unhealthy attachment would be codependency or relying on someone external for emotional support/validation. there is something to be said about mastering the grieving process when going through loss. we all experience loss in our lives; i find it highly reductive that one would keep others at a distance to avoid feeling loss. as you said, it is inevitable. to love is to risk loss. that is largely the human experience. again, i definitely agree with the other points & i believe one should not look for other people to fill any gaps in their life. at the end of the day, you have to be there for yourself. you have to be okay being alone.

The middle of the video is literally the jedi ideology from star wars: "The fear of loss is a path to the dark side. Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you that transform into the force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shaddow of greed that is. Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose." - Yoda After that Anakin sacrifices the republic and murders a bunch of his friends in a vain attempt to save his wife. And in the end it's not an outside force that causes her death. It was his will to do evil things to save her. As he becomes evil, driven by fear she loses the one she loved, and this suffering is what brakes her and she fades away during childbirth.
