DIY $2 Clamp Mount: GoPro Tips and Ticks

Mounting it on the end of the handle is better, it allows you more flexibility and you won't get the handle of the clamp in your shots when you shoot from the other direction. Just a tip i thought might help.

I made one of these yesterday. I put the bolt on the handle though. I also bought a gasket kit and cut a strip of rubber which a put in the actual clamp part of the mount so it doesn't scratch anything.

I built one these the other day with an identical plastic/polymer clamp and it worked perfect when testing it out on narrower surfaces, but when I tried it on a fatter surface it flew apart. So beware not to flex it too much or you will risk damage to your camera and injury to yourself. Great video thanks.

EXCELENT BEAUTIFUL... thank you.... Great... I have the same clamp bought in europe.... europe is much more expencive on everything... I see your clmap came with two orange things on the clamp part so it doesn't scratch anything, will I find that same thing at any regular hardware store? Thanks for making these videos btw.

Quick question. Do I need to buy a helmet mount or can I use one of the adhesive mounts to put it on the top of my helmet? Would I be able to adjust it up and down?

Please could anyone recommend a 3rd party frame for the Gopro black 3+ because I don't want to buy the original because it's too expensive.

Im using the 3+ Black as well and I got one from China off ebay for about $10 delivered, it works just fine, the thread on the bracket isnt as smooth as a regular GoPro one but once its in its sweet as, easily worth it for the saving :)

It would be great! If you really wanted to protect the instrument I would add some of those pads you put on the bottom of furniture to stop them from scratching the floor on the jaws of the clamp
