This offers the githyanki some interesting benefits. Lae'zel is not a spellcaster, so she cannot prolong her rule via lichdom. So she won't repeat Vlaakith's specific misdeeds against her own people. An interesting ending for sure.

Well the thing about that though is the Astral Plane is timeless, so people there basically don't age. This is why they have to have creches on the Material Plane in the first place - to allow their eggs to hatch and the kids to grow and physically mature first. So if Lae'zel takes over rulership of the githyanki, she could still keep it going for a very long time, provided something else doesn't happen like the Netherbrain somehow breaking free of her or someone else overthrowing her. But at least she wouldn't be devouring githyanki souls for breakfast, lunch, and dinner like Vlaakith.

Lae’zel’s rebellion ending is so badass. I wish we had this as part of a “good” ending regardless if you played as Lae’zel or Tav/Durge Edit: by this I mean I would’ve liked to see some variant of the gith heading to Vlaakith in a “good” ending.

Here's the sad thing, Vlaakith doesn't fear Lae'zel even after this. She fears the nether brain behind Lae'zel. Because she could just use wish or some other busted spell to end Lae'zel but if she did she'd be unleashing the brain which would then proceed to rebuild the illithid empire. Even if you don't agree with "absolute power corrupts" which is what the evil endings imply. People still don't understand that the brain not dying right then and there results in the rebirth of the illithid empire. Because eventually Lae'zel or anyone else would die and the brain would be unleashed. So it's just objectively a bad ending.
