But honestly, I didn't even notice! Good eye Alvin! What I love about her game though is how she consistently asks Coach Phil for CLARITY. She's not afraid to make sure she's doing exactly what Coach Phil asks her to do. That's one of the reasons she's such a great player.

Coach, with the form shooting, how important is concentration i.e., sensing the foundation, the high of the ball, fixing eyes on point of reference, front of rim, center or back of hoop, proper arm position, and down and up flow. This is the first time I see a form shooting so quick. What entails form shooting, in other words? Thanks to all of you for all the hard work you do for us to teach us. I am 64 and still balling!
@ILB3 жыл бұрын
At the beginning- it's VERY important to really concentrate on your form- especially during these warm up style drills that are meant to quickly drill your shot! Saying that- over time it becomes more natural and less "thinking", but it's always good to think about your shot after you shoot and "check the boxes" in your head to make sure you're using good form... Or to take mental notes when you feel something is "off". I recommend also filming your form shooting! Sometimes what you "feel" may not match what you're doing- and an outside view can help with that. Love the fact you're still out there ANNND working to get better Jose! Now your turn! What's YOUR secret to still balling at 64?!
@dookie18903 жыл бұрын
@@ILB Just the love for movement and agitation, and more importantly, the mystery and it's challenges, physically and mentally.
@chestermicek3 жыл бұрын
jose Sandoval, you don't shoot at the front of the rim, or the back, or the middle. You take your shot so you are directly opposite one of the "net hangers" below the rim. You shoot at the bottom of the hanger where the net meets the metal. That way, you will make more shots & your shots will make that Duke Basketball swish. More around the hoop at the same distance & always aim at the bottom of the net hanger furthest from you.

Your videos are truly helpful but I got 2 questions coach. What can I do to REALLY improve my ball control, sometimes when I’m dribbling and doing dribble moves I fumble the ball, like it will keep hitting the bottom of my hand and not stay on my finger pads? I assumed maybe it’s because I had weak wrists but I am getting them stronger. Also sometimes when I am shooting and I go to bring the ball up, I tend to skim my nose with ball which means I’m bringing it to close to my face, an issue I can’t seem to correct. Thank you.

That includes shooting, rebounding, dribbling, catching the ball in the post. It's give better control of the ball dribbling, and you don't caught flat footed in other areas.
