That slight vibration in the hands makes a huge difference after hours of riding and hundreds of kilometers. That is exactly why I was considering to change my twin for a tripple. Now I have queations about this vibration thing, and u r not the only one to mention that.

Great vid Chopsie and brilliant that Destination Triumph treat you so well, I spoke to Triumph UK today and they still can't get me a bike for several weeks! Really good to hear that engine, sounds great on the video but disappointed to hear the new firing order has made the engine more lumpy - as someone who doesn't take their adventure bike off road (and 99% of us don't as you said) it beats me why Triumph would change a brilliantly smooth engine ideally suited for the road, into something more suited for off-road given most people buy them for the road!! I get the vibes aren't excessive but I'll reserve judgement until I get to try one (I loved the old 800's smoothness and am a fan of Triumph Triples generally). Thank you for the early look, can't wait to have a go on one (eventually!!)....all the best mate and see you on Thursday.....oh no, wait I minute.. ;0)

THIS! I'm planning on buying a midrange Tiger, either the XRT or the GT. Right now, I'm leaning towards the XRT 800 - it'll probably cost $6-8000 less than the GT down here in Australia. Or maybe I'll just wait an extra year or two.

I'm still running in a 2019 800 XRT. One of the main reasons I bought it was the triple engine. I love triples and I know lots of people do. It is silky smooth and sounds great. Plus no vibration to speak of. I find it difficult to believe that many of us take their £13K plus bikes offroad. I know I won't take on much more than the odd green lane. I bought the bike to downsize from a 1050 Tiger, which became too hard to manhandle around due to the onset of decrepitude. My point is that to change the character of the engine to suit offroad riding with the inherent increase in vibration and sounding like a twin seems like a strange way to go. Of course I haven't ridden the 900 yet. I've hardly ridden the 800 but it is brilliant. I love how it sounds and the total lack of vibrations. If I'd have wanted a twin I would have bought one.

Why a Triumph dealer yet haven´t given you a job proposal as a sales rep is beyond me! Your vids, especially this one, must make Triumph roll out countless Tiger GT Pro´s. Very well rounded and attentative review on this, which is 99% certain, will be the bike I will purchase come spring 2021. I will REALLY appreciate if you do a follow up on this particular bike for the 2021 model! As an owner of a 2019 Tiger XCa my only regrets are the new tubeless rims but most importantly the easier access to air filter. The new styling doesn’t do anything for me at all. I bought this bike for off-roading and I’m quite certain I’ll never push the limits. In closing Triumph is a motorcycle company that brings “it” to market in all its models. A great extensive review as usual Chops. Can't say it does much for me TBH looks wise but 1 thing I did notice that's a definite improvement is the seperate rear subframe so if you do suffer an off at least the bike won't get written off because the rear foot peg mount has bent which then needs a whole new frame.

Watched your review of the gt pro last night and took the rally pro for a test ride this morning. What a brilliant bloody bike!! I have the vstrom 1000 2014 and I love it, but this new 900 has just blown me away. Vibes? What vibes! Acceleration, torque, comfort and ergonomics are just perfect. I'm 6'1, 100 kilo's, and long legs. With the seat in the high setting, (yes it's adjustable) it fitted myself just perfectly. Very surprised with the size of the bike compared to the big Vee. Almost the same, but 23-24 kilo's lighter when fully fueled. As you stated, the throttle response is so smooth, as is the quick shifter. The brakes are as good as you demonstrated, (bloody cagers)and the whole package is perfect. Well done Triumph! I know now which bike will replace the Vee in the near future. Thanks Chopsie, brilliant review as usual. cheers.

It's become the new norm for their twins and I'm sure it will in the triples as well. A lull in power delivery gives the driving wheel a chance to grab the surface ...for the rotational speed to match the surface's speed and this allows the two to 'mesh' for longer - the coefficient for Static friction (stationary) is always higher than the coefficient of kinetic friction (once sliding) and like everything in life it's not black and white but shades of grey at the margin between the two states.

I've had one or two over the yesrs; all very enjoyable and all very, very fast indeed (150+mph/240+km/h has been easily accessible since the mid '80s). I met a guy out on a motorcycle camping trip once about 15 years ago; he was riding a GS850. He asked "which bike are you more likely to kill yourself on?" Very interesting review, especially for me as I have a Tiger 800 XRT and will be thinking of getting the 900 GT Pro after I've had a test ride. What I like about your vid is that you know how to ride, really giving the bike some wrist so as to try the engine's performance and the bike's handling, not just potter along the lanes. Great stuff. I love my 800, one of the best bikes I've owned and I've had many, but my sole criticism is that it is impossible to get on the centre stand unaided. It is for me anyway, only able to do it, even then with an effort, by first putting the back wheel on a bit of wood to raise it. Hoping the 900 will be easier but if not, that won't put me off buying one if I like it otherwise. I notice in your walkround that you got the bike on to the stand. However you are way taller and heavier than me (five eight, eleven stone and I'm old and decrepit too) so that might explain it. Either that or the 900 is actually easier, which I hope is the case. No problem with the stand on my previous bike, BMW 1200 GS. Thanks for the review, one of the best I've seen of the GTP version.

I've tested the Rally pro. It IS too viby. From 6000 rpm, it was getting uncomfortable. No where near as bad as the BMW F900XR (which is horrible imo), but worse then the Tracer 900 (GT). But sub 6000 rpm, it's a nice ride. I Wish they had put 120/70-17 front and 180/55 -17 rear wheel on the GT version though. It would give it more "fun" potential. Speaking of sporty and the Tracer 900. How does it compare? I've tested both, but didn't get to take either to the twisties. I felt like the Tracer was a lot more sporty and will be more fun to own as your only bike.

Most of my riding is in dense traffic but I do get out for the odd jaunt. I'm very tempted to move to this Tiger as it really is a Swiss army knife machine and still fun to ride. The lower centre of gravity might swing it for me. I imagine that filtering wouldn't be a problem? The only thing that I don't love is the colour choices and the overall look. The Rally green is far better looking but unfortunately not available for the GT pro.

I know "T-plane" crank was an effort to make the engine better off road...but what's the point in a bike that is a "Road" touring bike? Lets face it, very few people go truly off-road in this class of adventure bikes as they are big, expensive and heavy. If you ARE taking a Tiger off-road then you are going to buy the Rally version in which case this engine would make sense,

Hi thanks for video; please check Tiger 900 manual, i really want to know the Payload (load limit weight maximum charge capacity) of the Tiger 900 GT & Rally ? Thanks, best regards, take care & stay safe. Someone said to me its only 169kg, but as its so low, i cant believe it.

Trekky Delirium no worries, I searched for it so I could get my head around the switch gear, I hadn’t even thought of the load capacity

Hey EBD, Just watched your review of the Tiger 900 GT. Good job! You seem to like it as much as Lamb Chops does. Now I am looking forward to TMF's review. A positive review by him would complete the holy trifecta of praise by my favorite moto-vloggers.

Rider review fantástico señor Chop! I'm thinking of selling my 2012 Tiger Explorer and the GT/PRO seems like an option? Really interested in comparing it versus the new BMW F 900XR - Ducati 950S for street use. Who knows where that comparo exists? A very hot and current genre of machines.
