Please just a tip, when cooking Wele, don't add salt in the beginning because when you do, it takes time to be soft. When it's almost done, you can add the salt. The same thing applies to beans. Well done, yummy stew

Hi Lami, tbh you are one of the best KZbin Gh cooks! Waakye is one of my fields too but watching your style gave a little boost. Might I ask, what's the difference between using fresh tomatoes and plum tomatoes? Did you intentionally use fresh?
@aseyediaba44794 жыл бұрын
Lami , I have a few questions for you. In your eid video, you added kawu to your stew to remove the sourness from it. 1. You had it stored in water... what is the ratio of water to kawu in the jar 2.what is the shelf life of that 3.how long must the kawu dissolve in the water solution before you start using it 4. What is the best way to store it? Do you leave it on the kitchen top or refrigerate it . 5. When is the best time to add kawu to the tomatoes to remove the sourness Sorry I am asking you so many questions ... it helps me understand how to use it properly
@Lamicooks4 жыл бұрын
Ok Aseye 1. To be honest it depends, I eye ball it. But you can add about 1 cup of kawu to 3 cups of water and store to be used when needed. 2. Since it's a form of a rock, store as long as 6 months or more. 3. You can use it minimum about 3hours. 4. I store it on the counter top and use when needed, no need to store in fridge. 5. Once the stew has fried and you still taste the sourness, sometimes after cooking the stew down, you dont need to add the kawu. I hope I have answered all your questions 😊

Hi Lami, what’s the proportion of the cloves,anise,star anise and black peppercorns? Star anise is quite strong so if one doesn’t add the right quantity it may overpower the other spices. What are the spice ratios cos I want to make some and be using for my stews
