The most requested waakye stew recipe is here. Two key things to consider when preparing waakye stew are to use lots of onions and also fry your stew properly.
INGREDIENTS
Tomatoes
Onions
Shallots (optional)
Pepper
Meat of your choice
Cow skin
Wagahie
Garlic/Ginger paste
Tomato paste
Mixed spices (star anise, aniseed, cloves, black peppercons)
Bey leaf
Stock cube
shrimp powder

Im actually a asian .. I love eating and trying african foods.. My tanzanian friend and myself ( helped him ) cooked Jollof rice. I loved it. He even told about this waakye rice, waakye stew ..and we gonna make it.. 🙃 thank you for your video

Please just a tip, when cooking Wele, don't add salt in the beginning because when you do, it takes time to be soft. When it's almost done, you can add the salt. The same thing applies to beans. Well done, yummy stew

Easiest and fastest way to make it soft faster is onions! Add more onions during the meat cooking session.

It's not Ghanaian food. It's all hausa food that Ghanaian adopted. WAKE IS HAUSA AND MEANS BEANS AND THIS STEW IS ALSO HAUSA. THEY ALSO EAT KOKO AND KOSAI WHICH IS ALL HAUSA FOOD.

I normally add salt to my wele at the beginning with baking soda. The baking soda helps to soften the wele in no time.
