It's definitely one of my favorites in an album that seems a bit more stripped back instrumentally than it should in some places. I feel like it definitely has a much better musical progression, though I don't like how this video doesn't have the trumpets like the album version. That definitely sells its uniqueness from most of the other BB tracks pretty well.

@@j.c7719 Also Panic! At the Disco, most notably on their album Vices and Virtues. Yes, they have a few songs that are more superficial and poppy, but most of their catalogue has very artistic lyrics with hidden meanings and symbolism, as well as emotions and storytelling. Ryan Ross and Brendon Urie are excellent songwriters. They do definitely have some songs that are campy or over-the-top, but they have a very unique style that is definitely original. Even other bands that some fans associate with them don't have the exact same vibe. Brendon is my favorite singer. @@robertaa_17 there’s a reason it was hyped. a weird thing I’ve noticed about artists and the work that becomes popular is that their fans seem to think disliking or hating on that work makes them special lol not saying you’re doing this but it’s a habit I’ve noticed they have. there’s a reason songs become more popular than others 🤷🏻♀️ they are unique and have something new to offer. this song sounds exactly like the latest slow, dull songs she’s been releasing for a while now. but video games? the lyrics, instrumentals, and music video were stunning. it literally changed the music industry forever and made lana a name to remember. I don’t see how anyone could say this is better

I hear you! so i have often been unsure of her songs the first time i hear them! But then, after another listen or 2, when I start to grasp the flow and the lyrics, I end up really liking them. I noticed this with Coachella on my mind. I think her last two+ albums, because they are so slow, it's really about the lyrics and how golden they are. The songs meander, so you need to grab the feel. :)

I have heard her add beats if you go back through the albums she sprinkles them in here and there and are usually very complimentary to the song composition.

Verse 1] My body is a map of L.A. I stand straight like an angel, with a halo Hangin' out the Hilton Hotel window Screamin', "Heyo, baby, let's go" My chest, the Sierra Madre My hips, every high and byway That you trace with your fingertips like a Toyota Run your hands over me like a Land Rover [Chorus] In Arcadia, Arcadia All roads that lead to you as integral to me as arteries That pump the blood that flows straight to the heart of me America, America I can't sleep at home tonight, send me a Hilton Hotel Or a cross on the hill, I'm a lost little girl Findin' my way to ya Arcadia [Verse 2] My body is a map of L.A. And my heart is like paper, I hate ya I'm not from the land of the palms, so I know I can't stay here I'm not native, but My curves, San Gabriel all day And my lips like the fire licks the bay If you think that you know yourself, you can come over Lay your hands on me like you're a Land Rover Chorus] In Arcadia, Arcadia All roads that lead to you as integral to me as arteries That get the blood flowing straight to the heart of me America, I need a miracle I can't sleep at home tonight, send me a Hilton Hotel Or a cross on the hill, I'm a lost little girl Findin' my way to ya Arcadia [Outro] They built me up three hundred feet tall just to tear me down So I'm leavin' with nothing but laughter, and this town Arcadia Findin' my way to ya I'm leavin' them as I was, five foot eight Western bound, plus the hate that they gave By the way, thanks for that, on the way, I'll pray for ya But you'll need a miracle

I don’t get concerned anymore if she’s considered underrated. The important thing is she’ll keep making music that is blessings to the ears💛 I love her as a person and as an artist. I’ll forever keep enjoying her work❤️

@@siddharthmishra295 what she meant was that this work of art deserves more views when compared with trendy pop music and mainstream artists that roll on Algorithms and not sheer artistry. And, I agree with that but I feel as an artist she is happy with the amount of recognition she has got so let's be happy with her as she's still true to her art unlike many.

Like Lana? Never. But made from the same legendary stuff? They show up once or twice every decade I think. Stevie Nicks, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Lana Del Rey.
