I’m totally in agreement on owning a paper manual! Unfortunately, many of the new vehicles manuals are only available digitally with a monthly subscription.😩

Currently working on a 1948 Series 1 Parts book coverage very good but close scrutiny required as per part matching to chassis/axle etc. number. Workshop manual that covers 1948-1958 is a black hole for these very early vehicles. Lots of parts generally unobtanium.

Great video, very timely. My son and I are chasing some parts for his Discovery 1 and I was having no luck, we went to the local Landy spares shop here in Newcastle even though they couldn’t help us with the parts they gave me the part number’s and yes google helped. Now I’m searching for a parts manual for it. Keep up the great work. Paul.

Hi Paul. It makes life so easy once you have the part number as you know. Best of luck getting the Disco 1 back on the road, there a good vehicle. Kind regards Geoff

There is actually a proper dealer-issue Land Rover workshop manual for the 90, 110 and Defender (www.brooklandsbooks.co.uk/product/land-rover-defender-workshop-manual-1993-1995-my/). The cover is actually mislabelled, it should say 1983-1995 as it covers everything from the 2.25 petrol up to the 200Tdi. Also, if you have a Series II, IIA or III, make sure to get the Optional Equipment Parts Catalogue (www.brooklandsbooks.co.uk/product/land-rover-series-2a-3-109v8-optional-equipment-parts-catalogue/). They also to a USA supplement for our American friends.
