Sometimes it’s these little excursions that help relieve stress and help us recenter so we can press on. I hope this had that affect for you Mike. I’m sure life’s gotten crazy with a new family and house and business and KZbin to keep up with. Thanks for sharing and hope you stay well.

Loved the video as always man. Been following for several years now and your adventures have inspired me a ton. I have 4 kiddos so don’t have much time to camp but we do try to get out on the trails to explore new areas, and hang out. Always love that you encourage everyone to still get out even if they don’t have a fancy rig, or the time to get out on big multi day treks. For me, just getting out on a trail, setting up out spot, cooking some food, hanging out no heading home at dark…this does so much for me in such a positive way mentally. Hoping that when my girls are older, they’ll appreciate being outdoors as much as I do. Anyways sorry for the long rant but just wanted to see thanks man! ✌🏼

Back in the day we cooked over an open camp fire! Loaded up the Crown Vic with a crappy tent & an ice chest with beer & Brats. Brought the boom box with D cell batteries for Jerry tunes. Brought a couple of Maglites & went camping. I understand why with fire restrictions ya can't have an open camp fire. If ya got no fire restrictions build a camp fire!

Seems like you'd be a good candidate for a Decked system, that diamondback as much as I like it doesn't really work well with the RTT on there, you'd have to army crawl to get stuff further back. I ended up going with the Retrax MX Pro, while you lose 12" I have a DCLB so I'm left with basically short bed storage from the wheel wells up and long bed from the wheel wells down. You can still access the space under the canister or store something under there.

Nice vid Mike. I like the sentiment. The wife and I bought our first house this year and we’ve felt wicked busy all summer so It’s been hard to fit in the things we usually enjoy. We need to take a page out of your book and just do our own 18 hour adventure. Love your videos and can’t wait for the next one 👍

Is there enough space when the iKamper (x-cover or sky camp) is closed to house two of the inflatable mattresses? Having two layers of those iKamper mattresses would make for a nice place to sleep… assuming they wouldn’t slide all around.

Want to acknowledge you as the best presenter at referencing goods and topics in the description. My pet peeve is presenters who say they will link something in the description but fail to do so. I can’t think of any excuse for this. Why say it if you have no intention of doing it. Further, I’m amazed at how many presenters make the false statement, really irritating. So, thank you for that extra effort. It gets noticed.

Hey Mike, you mentioned that you might know of leak if you are in the hunting community. Living in the great elk hunting state of Colorado, have you ever been interested in hunting? Just wondering what your thoughts are on the subject and if you might get into that.
