There Absolutely no way it’s gonna cost 24k to start a home daycare . Mine honestly only cost 2k And I’m in one of the most expensive states in the country, California . Let’s be a little bit more realistic. A Center I definitely seeing it cost between 50 and 100 K to run a good program. But not at your house.

I'm in CA and want to start an in home because I'm in Los Angeles with high demand and my house is paid off. I was thinking it would be way cheaper than 30 k Main thing is I have a huge yard and with the weather I feel like most of the day can be outdoors playing. I start saving money and I’m currently working as a teacher from age 1 month to 6 years I’ve been at childcare industry since 2022 and right now I’m on school to get may certificate , credits , associate or bachelor and getting all the requirements to open one 🙏🏽

Can anyone recommend how to find commercial space for a daycare? Everywhere I look it’s a daycare center being sold or commercial space for sale. I want to dip our feet by LEASING a space for at least one year to see how it goes.

Could you please mention about construction cost, let’s say if person has a commercial building but its not constructed the way daycare is. How much is construction cost?

Love this question! It's so hard to say how much it would cost to renovate. I would recommend finding a if not completely turnkey at least semi turn key to keep these costs down. Also look for daycare that are for sell by owner are great location options. But I'm not a fan of having to put in so much work especially if this is your first time.

I was truly hoping to purchase a building years ago but real estate has gone crazy and that's just not going to happen, unfortunately.
