Not true at all! My mother has 7 children (6 daughters and 1 son). Only one became an addict, our only brother. We all lived the same life, witnessed the same addictions, the same struggles. I'm the second oldest and seen and lived much worse than my middle sibling or the younger siblings (our mother was sober by then). People get effected differently, and addiction doesn't discriminate...this includes age and what order you were born.

They were the hardest years of my life to try and understand. Thanks for the kind words. All it takes is for people to speak up about mental illness and addiction. People should never feel alone like my mother did.

i’m going to be 100% honest and say that i really lost interest in your channel for a while but this video has really made me have so much respect for you . thank you for sharing your story and being so raw with millions of people , and sharing such a personal part of your life . all of you guys are very brave , especially Eryn . i was emotional the whole time because this kind of hits close to home .. it’s incredibly hard being so young and watching your mother become an addict and have your life change completely because of it . Eryn is incredibly strong and she’s very lucky to have family like you guys that are able to take her in and support her through everything . you did an amazing thing and i genuinely wish you all the best . 🙏🏼❤️❤️

I have been struggling with addiction since 2017 and I could never string together more than 90 days..... BUT im celebrating 8 months clean on the 18th of August!! Its amazing what the Lord can do when you trust in him and work your program!! ✝️ Congratulations to your sister!! I pray she continues down the right path and that her legal situation is worked out the way God intends! It is not easy to stay sober but id rather do the work than be back in the misery of my addiction EVER again. P.S. IM SO GLAD YOU TALKED ABOUT ADDICTION. You are helping the stigma around addiction. You are Lauralee and no one would have ever guessed that addiction affected you and your family! Your sister was RIGHT when she said its a DISEASE. We don't choose to be addicts but we can choose to get sober and help others who are struggling!!!! ❤❤

I suffered from addiction issues myself when I was young. it's a real thing and I praise u for taking her in n offering her a good life. u r changing her life forever. 🖤🖤

I was that little girl wondering why my dad loved drugs more then he loved me. Why year after year for 18 years my dad didn’t say a single happy birthday. Growing up without a father and a single mom gets lonely. Addiction ruins families.
