I don't know the details of the victim's marriage, but it seems possible she robbed her husband. People so often think they can get away with being a PoS (Piece of Poop), and many pushovers will allow that and talk about "letting it go", forgiveness, and such...but, some don't. A thief robbing another thief is an old story. There are some thieves who only target prostitutes, drug dealers, or others engaged in illegal businesses - because they won't call the police. It sounds like the murder victim may've had it coming. If you rob, cheat, manipulate, hurt others and think you are clever for doing so, there is someone willing to humble you and do to you as you've done to others. I love that.

Imagine you're the defence lawyer: "So you held money for Taylor. Mkay. And you made several significant purchases throughout the year. Alright. You worked previously as a forensic technician and have an intimate knowledge of crimescenes. Okay. You asked friends about how much cocaine could kill a person and then tried to overdose Taylor. Mmmm ok. You were the last person seen with Taylor _and_ you lied to investigators about where you went with her, as evidenced by indisputable cell tower location data. Ok, not good. Your parents have multiple large properties and the cell phone location data shows that you visited one of your parents properties with Taylor on the day she disappeared. Hmmmm. Taylor's body was found buried on a property your parents own, the same property at which both of your cell phones were present on the day of her disappearance. That's not ideal. You were then recorded on CCTV purchasing materials matching those found at the crime scene to conceal Taylor's body. You're additionally being charged in a separate case for embezzlement of funds from your family business and then set a property on fire which is associated with that business in order to destroy financial records... Hmmm well what holes are left in the case here... What type of concrete did you buy?"

I know she didn't expect that to happen but you know what they say, there is no honor among thieves. so it sounds like three problems solved themselves, a corrupt forensics investigator was put behind bars forever where she undoubtedly deserves to be, a lying thief met her unfortunate but comical demise, and a victim of theft got their money back and avoided a nasty divorce. I'd call this a happy ending; these sort of things rarely end nicely packed up with a bow on it like this.

In my opinion, the problem with this case is that murder is awful regardless of whether the victim deserved it or not. Nevertheless, I can see why Taylor might not be viewed sympathetically since she seems like someone who divorced her family, took money, and fled to live with her girlfriend. Those actions might be seen as selfish to some people. That's why I have mixed feelings about the case.

Yep, Mike totally missed the biggest source of comedy in this case - BRANDON. When his ugly, unwashed body took the stand and gave evidence for the prosecution. the jury's mouths must have dropped open as one. Most women wouldn't cross the street for that loser, never mind steal and go to jail for him! I reckon he has a 10 inch tongue, and can breathe through his ears!

During the pandemic I spent my days watching trials. This case was one of them. Such a sad case and shows how evil money makes people. Side note I did not like the judge on this trial. It felt like she was rushing the whole process and put on a big act for the cameras acting super nice to the jury. Just my opinion. With all that said this case is horrible and shows you never to trust anyone and some people are willing to do anything for money. RIP Taylor 🙏

Bank accounts can be seized and emptied if they are in your name. Do the right thing, send it to me. If you have funds that need looking after then I’m your man, I’m trustworthy, I am as honest as the day is long and I don’t have an addiction to fast cars or fast boats.... much. So get me a call. 😜

And it's even weirder because she had a degree in forensic crime scene analysis. That doesn't relate to phone records but it suggests she had an interest in the subject so it seems all the more surprising she would have made such a basic mistake. I'm always surprised how many true crime cases I watch that occurred in the modern age and feature perpetrators who have their phones on them while they carry out pre-meditated crimes. In some cases, they might otherwise have gotten away with it if it wasn't for the massive electronic arrow they left pointing right at themselves!

If there's a moral here, it's never get big amounts of money involved in friendships. I've seen friends break up over not paying back $20. There's a reason there are proper institutions for money, and it's because Chase won't spend your 100k on a guy and then have no way to pay you back when you want to take out your money
