No matter how loud or obnoxious a man gets, women have been told for generations to be polite, to be ladies, to not talk back, to not be aggressive - there's a level of generational trauma there. But if he's a good lawyer he probably knows this and was using it to rattle her. She stuck to her guns though through this whole thing and mostly didn't let his behavior rattle her. It can be an attempt to reign in their tendency to go off the rails - "my dog stepped on a bee." That's not to say when she's being an ass, it's not her just being an ass, being evasive or is triggered and her emotions are too riled up to take the moment to try to reign herself in before she barfs her mental distortions unchecked. In an honest moment though, the disorder scrambles understanding the question in the intended way in their brains, so they can ask you to repeat so they get it right.

good point. she wanted to keep the penthouses. She had the locks changed so he couldn't get in when he came back and before filing for divorce she demanded that he give them to her....or else. The Last 6 years has been all about the "or else"
@markcumminscpa2 жыл бұрын
Even by divorce standards, she clearly used abuse allegations to extort money and property. Property thay was JD's long before she came into his life. They did not even have joint marital property. Not really. JD paid for everything and she used property of his he had long before her. And she let him. She had said, in trial and in interviews that she "relained financially independent throughout their entire relationship". Which. Idk if it counts as independent when you do have the money but refuse to spend it, forcing your partner to pay all of your bills, all of your expenses, including the drugs you liked to do and your private doctors and nurses. AH is the farthest thing from a DV and SA victim/survivor. She was never afraid of him, and fear is kinda the key thing when you are abused. She also, when you hear the audios and videos recorded, she felt she had every right to physically abuse JD. And she was DIAGUSTED by him complaining about it. She mocked him for having an issue with violence. She literally would have respected him more if he HAD hit her, hit her BACK, or beat the shit out of her. Because she has a Borderline Personality, the most unforgivable thing he did to her was walking away during fights and refusing to engage ohysically with her. Her BPD makes her think that if he really loved her and was never going to leave her, he would endure anything she did to him. She really does feel that he abused her. Except it was by walking away during conflict, leaving her (she admits in a recorded phone call that she filed for divorce and the DV retraining order because he told her he was going to file for divorce because he did not want to be with her anymore. And she did not want à TRO. She filed only because the lawyers scared her by telling her that if she did not get a TRO and get him barred from the penthouse, that she would have to leave in 30 days. If you have not, you should read the actual letter (admitted as evidence in the virginia trial) written by AH's divorce lawyer and sent to JD's divorce lawyer. If you have not read it (I highly suggest reading the whole thing yourself), it literally states : That if JD wants to resolve this privately he needs to agree to give AH the following: 1)7 million dollars, after he paidball income tax on it (this had been negotiated down from 14 million, 2) exclusive use of the 3 LA penthouses. With JD agreeing to pay for any expenses related to the penthouses, 3)exclusive use and possession of JD's range rover with JD agreeing to pay the monthly note, insurance and any other expenses related to the car. 4) JD agrees to her being absolved of any and all bills/debts/ etc incurred during the 15 months of marriage. (So JD pays it all instead of each taking 50%) 5) JD be responsible for paying any and all taxes related to the marriage. 6) JD would agree to pay AH's legal fees, court fees, and for her lawyers, And if JD did not agree to this list and sign the forms attached to the letter and return it, signed to AH's lawyers office, she would go public with allegations that he abused her physically during the course of their relationship. JD did agree. And this became their divorce settlement, and since AH had alerted TMZ to the fact that she was filing for divorce and a TRO, and when she would be at the courthouse sonthey could photograph a bruise on her face, the world was already aware that she had made claims of abuse, and she answered questions about it in interviews and to bolster her credibility, she told everyone that she did not get ANYTHING from making claims because she donated the 7 mil divorce settlement to the ACLU and children's hospital. (Later, in her post trial interview she would say that she should not have had to donate her divorce settlement to be believed), and when JD's accountant/biz manager sent checks directly tobthe charties, her lawyers had a fit, accused him of trying to "take credit for HER donations" and demanded that the checks go directly to AH and she would make her donations (which as we know, she never did. For over a year before JD sued her for defemation. And as we know he sued her 6 months after she wrote the op-ed and a couple years after the divorce settlement she wrote the op-ed. The London trial that happened before the virgina trial, JD sued The Sun for calling him a wife-beater.) Telling everybody she no longer had the 7 mil, really did win a lot of support to her side. And was even given as one reason by the UK judge as to WHY he believed her. He said she did not get any monetary benefit to making a claim.of being an abuse victims. And à "gold-digger" never would have donated the money. When children's hospital publically asked AH if she was planning on fulfilling her pledge, JD's lawyers started poking around to see if she had in fact donated the divorce settlement. And the ACLU stonedwalled for years until a judge ordered them to hand over all the documents pertaining to AH and cooperat, thry finally did and admitted she had NOT fulfilled her pledge, she in fact,paid very little from her own pocket. The lost coming from EM on her behalf and the two 100grand checks directly from JD (that clearly stated this was on behalf on AH and her pledge of 3.5 millio and during trial the ACLU would admit that they approached AH over becoming an embasador for violence agaisnt women and being closely involved from conception to print on the op-ed) when it came out she never fulfulled her pledges, first her lawyer claimed it was because JD sued her and she had to defend herself agaisnt false allegations. Then, during trial, closing arguments her lawyer told the jury AH still intends of fulfilling her pledge but 1)JD keeps abusing her by dragging her into court, and 2) she has almost 6 million bill in attorney's fees. Post trial, it cimes out that AH's homeowners paid for her defense. It would also come.out that right around the time of the op-ed AH shopped around for a very unique, particular homeowners insurance policy that covered intentionally torts (VERY RARE for HO insurnace to cover that.) Clearly when the op-ed was being planned, her lawyers advised her that their was a very good chance that she would get sued. And unless she wanted to be paying for a very expensive trial (which she did have (atleast originally) of winning, but there was still the chance she would lose)then she should find an insurance policy that would cover defense to intentional torts. I bring all this up just to make the point that besides this kind of behavior totally consistant with Borderline Personality Disorder and Histrionic personality disorder, it really, at least started, to get more money and as much as possible in the divorce if JD insisted on leaving her..or, she was probably hoping that the threat of losing a mot of money and the extreme public shame, esp with me too, of being accused of being an abuser, would make him stay with her. One last thing, at one point in AH's cross-examination she looks at the jury, when asked about the divorce settlement and it was insinuated by Camille V. That AH extorted JD with threats of abuse allegations, AH turns to the jury and with a hell of a lot of contempt says "i only got a fraction of what i was entitled to in thebstate of CA." This means sh3 was under the impression thzt she was entitled to half of everything JD had or was worth. When in reality, being married for 15 months means that had she gone in front of a judge à judge NEVER would have given her even close to what JD agreed to give her. She would be entiled to half of JD made (money wise) from those 15 months only. (He made 35 million), half of all the property they bought of aquired during the course of those 15 months AND she would have been responsible for half off all the bills or debts aquired during those 15 months (including the 150,000 bill at the end of the 15 months for HER favorite wine). And if you added up everything she got in the settlement, including subtracting the money she did not have to pay and the money she saved cuz JD agreed to take responsibility for, she got WAY more than what the law would have given her. Way more than of 30 million. Sorry for the novel! Appreciate it if you made it this far!

For some reasons she seems to hire low caliber people. That said, I think what he's doing (however, misguided) is strategic. He's trying to throw off the other lawyers. Hoping that the hostility thrown their way will fluster them and keep them from asking important questions. Something like how commonly in martial arts drawing actual blood can be used that way -- to disorient your opponent who then spends time worrying about their wounds and so cannot properly defend themselves or mount an offensive. Laura Wasser's team is too professional and seasoned to be thrown by him -- plus, the main questioning attorney (also strategically) has a steadily pleasant demeanor (meant to disarm the person she is deposing).

The part of the recording that AH is on about with regards to “she’s doesn’t matter” or something like that, is important, but I understand why Peter went passed it. So Brian (Incredibly Average) was saying, the statement “she isn’t important or doesn’t matter” is from the Australia tape where Johnnys tip of his finger had been cut off. Dr Kipper, bodyguards etc said that getting Johnny treatment, having his tip of his finger sewn back on was the most important thing & because AH had no injuries (none are mentioned in the Australia recording for AH apart from scratches on her left forearm which Jerry said was self inflicted & she’s done it before) she didn’t need the attention apart from giving her medication to calm her down. Hope this makes sense.

And this was pretty heavy weight stuff. (I wasn't paid for preparing either, only sitting time, so not paid to read those 200 pages per case.) Honestly, AH is getting luxury compared to the hours the legal teams will have been putting in, and the poor judge who has to go through this depo afterwards will be losing the will to live and be on their 4th megapint of whatever at this point.

I would LOVE to know if she was "a painter" before she got with Depp, or if she "became" a painter when she was with her wife (who is actually an artist). My son almost married a gone girl-like person who took up the things her friends or boyfriends were good at, and AH strikes me as that type of person. In fact, it has been suggested that she absolutely does do that. She made a point to say, "my art studio" when referring to the Australia house rental, when we KNOW Johnny is an artist himself, and used that studio, too, so not saw THE studio, or our studio. She mentioned "her office and art studio" in one of the penthouses several times, and referenced the Australia one a couple of times. She REALLY wants us to know she is an "artist." It was dismissive of his work, and bolsters her own to refer to it as just her's. He recently sold his first collection for something like 3.5 million dollars, and I've seen them, they're very good. If she in fact does do that sort of thing, (mold herself into the person she is with), then it's incredibly creepy imo.
@emmawooller32392 жыл бұрын
I've always wondered this and even search online to try to see any of her "paintings" but couldn't find anything. Even before Johnny's recent collection sale, you could find plenty of videos of him painting, and pictures of the works themselves.

@@emmawooller3239 absolutely, it is clearly something he has done, and I actually searched and searched for "her" work - even just something she did for herself, and there is nothing. I am an artist, but not a good enough one yo sell anything (other than my quilts and embroidery). It is therapeutic and relaxing, and I have done it since I was a kid. I don't care if she just screws around to relax, and if she did that because of the influence of her exes. No biggie, but to put it out there the way she has feels a little like she's pretending to be something she's not - I get the same feeling about all of the books. I'm an avid reader myself, but if you listen to her interviews or look at her social media, she has more pics with books than with people, in libraries and wearing glasses with stacks of books nearby - it is like every other picture. Almost like they are props. Idk about that girl, but I hope for her kid's sake that she gets herself some help and figures out who she is so she can mold that child to become the best person she can be too.

WHY let dogs shit in your bed?! If you don’t want the responsibility of taking them out to use bathroom don’t get the dog.

It’s awful! The dogs are too small to get off the bed by themselves

This attorney,Harder lives up to his name... Sadly I'm not impressed with his interfering with the whole ideal of answering In A manner of truth.

Yeah me too. Wanna support Peter’s channel and the Incredible average as well but it’s harder and harder to listen to this lady. Truly hope she gets the help that she needs, for her daughter’s sake.

His behavior was becoming more erratic, unpredictable, and scary. She never did used the word “violent!”

I think Peter speaks the most professional here on KZbin and that is such a good thing for us. I’m certain he is even more in the court room! I enjoy learning from an Attorney the legal aspects of all of this trial so I think I speak for us all that you have a great KZbin channel and everyone should check out his other videos on other topics besides JD/AH. Just my input.

Hey Pete, thanks for ur time and effort with covering this topic. I can only imagine that u're-over-it, but, please can u keep breaking this down. I'm learning alot about unprofessional behavior, and what great lawyering is - from u eg legal jargon, meaning of lawyering words and procedures. Thank you from NZ

I love how bad her memory is of events that took place in my TRO in May and this is August. But yet in the trial they claimed JD had cognitive issues. This whole time is disgusting and makes me feel bad for any lawyers in depos seeking truth.

Love your breakdown ! I always watch the original first but it’s great to have that legal knowledge added to my second viewing ! Please keep it coming!
