Dark Fluid Production begins to handle the super colony at Meridia. This will collapse the planet to destroy the super colony. The illuminates will use this to bleed into our galaxy to reclaim what they lost during the first Galactic War.

Yes we never knew there are more illuminates in distant galaxies. They can easily detect dark fluid (or black holes causes by dark fluid) and come to reclaim it.

That's good storytelling: succeed or fail, the main plot points required to advance the story still come to pass, without the player feeling like their actions didn't matter; so long as you don't peek behind the curtain.

There is an in game effect. One of the planets is closer to super earth than the other. Which means, super earth is more threatened by illuminate with the failure.

@@joshuatan942 Doubtful. Either location would have put the Illuminate in bug space, so the black hole should just be a means for squids to arrive and beeline for their territory in the south.

@@delcox8165 Personally, I think they are going to have the Illuminate do "Scout Missions" just like the Automations before the counterattack, to me, it would not make sense for a massive illuminate invasion, considering its an unkown black hole that just formed, it would make more sense if they sent a few scouts. but thats just my prediction.

Did anyone else notice what the two ending are saying on how the black hole disrupts time and in the bad ending, the survivors lost would probably reappear hundred years does that mean the super colony would reappear around 100 years are they basically setting up one of the enemy factions for the third game if there is one in the future?

Looking back on this from after Meridia, I'm really glad we completed that major order. Having a black hole at Moradesh of all places would've been disastrous long term, and it would've allowed the Terminids to push frontlines from the Umlaut Sector to the Orion Sector.
