I like your teaching method of Slovak language through simple stories (fairy tales). You've done an excellent job... you have the right pace. I assume you rework the stories and select the best vocabulary for beginners. I appreciate how you explain the meaning of the vocabulary by providing other synonyms and using hand and body gestures. 1:13 and 1:22 I do not understand, in the first case you say bývajú (plural) for David, anka and 4 children. and a couple of seconds later, you say býva for 6 people , i was expecting a plural form as well🤔

Well done for noticing! In Slovak, for numbers 2,3 and 4 we use regular plural, but for numbers 5 or more, as well as other kinds of quantifiers (veľa, málo, trocha...), we use the verb in singular and the noun is in Genitive plural (not in Nominative).

Ok, I think I understand what you mean! It doesn't matter how many people there are, the numeral that is used in the sentence is what matters. In the sentence the numeral used is štyri, which means we simply use plural.
