I just watched this entire tutorial start to finish. I have been looking for a good tutorial like this to get started with unreal engine (with an emphasis on Blender). I really like how you don't just haphazardly throw assets around the scenes but instead make small stories for yourself like why there would be rocks all around the base of the Suzanne rocks. Keep up the great work, I subscribed and will definitely be checking out more!

If anyone else has issues opening up the Open World Demo collection map, it's because it was designed to run on high end machines such as those with Titan GPU's. The official marketplace description states that it can take an hour to open on its first opening. May be worth skipping the tree placement or find some other, less demanding trees.

22:40 you should specify that this feature works differently when using Geometric Brushes Because the drag-and-drop operation works as intended on a static mesh, but doing the same operation to a Geometric Brush or blueprint object that has its construction blueprint coded to work differently will react very differently to a drag-and-drop operation than you intended. In the case of Geometric Brushes, the drag-and-drop will apply the material to the face you release your mouse button over.

Man, still chipping away at this video as I can carve out time... Thanks so much for this. Feel like I'm hitting my stride in Blender, this feels like a fun next chapter of learning. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to put this out there, I had downloaded Unreal a while back trying to figure out how to connect the dots between Blender and Unreal and put it on the back burner since I didn't really gain any traction... but your breakdown makes it seem pretty feasible.
