Yeah, two things I've noticed about Polish: 1. In most languages there're unwritten rules about sound combinations. Like in English you can't start a word with 'tl-'. 2. Most languages... when you make a sound the next one will not be at like the extreme opposite end of your mouth. Honestly, I don't think these concept even exist in Polish!!! I swear every possible sound combination is 100% legit. And one sound will be at the back of your throat and the next one is just on your lips. It's crazy!

If you start learning Polish on duolingo the only things you're gonna learn are, "the girl is drinking milk" and "the man is eating bread" like when tf are you gonna go up to someone and say "DZIEWCZYNA PIJE MLEKO"
@asassynation99555 ай бұрын
I started learning it on duolingo, (my Grandad was Polish, but he spoke English to us, but Polish to his Dad) and I was laughing but also so confused by the: “The Girl is drinking milk” and other equally random stuff that I have never, EVER seen in a sentence! Kobieta pijé wodę! Kot piję mleko! Ribaaaa zoupa! I have no idea if I have remembered how to do any of those right - this reminds me, I need to check in on duolingo! Lol! I tried to have a conversation with some of my Polish family members I got in contact with,and let me tell you….they hated my Polish. 😢 One of them, I asked: :Is it better to write to you in English or Polish?” And bless his heart, he told me: “It better you write me English” 😂 and another one is literally a Professor at a university, and I felt almost like I was being told off for trying to write in a Polish, he told me: “You don’t need to write to me in Polish, because I can speak English” 😂 oh Lord, I don’t know what I wrote, but I’m starting to wonder if it was offensive. 😬😆
