I left when he LEAST expected it. And it made him go insane unlike anyone I have ever seen in my life- including my narc father. I left and stayed with a friend an hour away while he was out in town. Told him I left when I was on my way to her house. Then a few days later flew back to my home country on the other side of the world. He has never been to my country as he is from another country (we were both expats in a third country). So, the amount of insanity he has displayed trying to track me down and harass me is unbelievable.

The worst part, I didn't get to hurt him. I didn't want to be someone that hurt him. I just didn't want to be hurt myself anymore. Dealing with a narc is playing with a double edged knife. There is no winning, even when you win by leaving, you still lose. I always told him it's damned if we do damned if we don't. But at least this pain I feel now will pass. I can’t understand why my husband does what he does. He assaulted me, I moved out. I tried even after that to go to his house and work on things but he couldn’t be nice for more than a few hours at a time. I told him I was gonna file for divorce so he did. I went and signed and he won’t have the papers filed and keeps saying if I would just change we could be together. Now he’s saying I have to pay for 1/2 the divorce even tho he kept the house and everything in it that I paid for. I told him I would pay and meet him at the office and he still continues to say that I am missing out and need to change bc I will never find better. Such a whirlwind and so stressful. Get out so you can get a Peace of mind!! Yes it is stressful getting out, but it's worth it!! I was in my relationship for about 5 and 1/2 years. The longer I stayed the worse it got!! There were good times, but the name calling out the blue, going into a Rage , playing the Music loud after I got off from work, controlling!! I had to file a PTO when I left the house. I had to go into hiding!! I only told one person where I was, bec. I knew he could be violent. I didn't want anyone to feel they had to tell him where I was!! It's not good or safe to tell a person you are leaving, they know they didn't treat you right!

Yup! My husband was treating me so bad I left. I didn’t realize he was a narcissist at the time and I left hoping it would open his eyes but he didn’t. “I was the one who left.” and 8 years together, 2 children and all the adversity we faced together and he threw it all away. How accurate everything you say! In my case my ex pushed me to the limit, to break up with him and that way he felt free of guilt. His Ego is hurted, and he wanted me to leave the unit eventhough I was not happy there. I had to file an order of protection against my abusive boyfriend, with narcissistic behavior, to get him removed from my home. Since he wouldn't leave on his own, when I tried braking up with him. I gave him ultimatum after ultimatum. He would agree to leave, then change his mind. It's difficult, and more challenging when the offender lives with you in your home, and he's freeloading, and mooching off you.

I remember him telling me that I can block him too after he blocked-unblocked me for the 2nd time. I didnt respond because why would I do that? I'm not immature blocking people over what I considered were minor conflicts, and I felt like he wanted me to do that so he can control the narrative, like I blocked them so they're the "victim". And he had the gall to accuse me of "abandoning him" after he was the one who blocked me after I was putting out an olive branch to reach out to him, also AFTER he stonewalled me because he did not feel I was punished enough after I accidentally caused narcissistic injury with a roasting joke that I didnt realize would hurt his core content (I said he might be a fairweather friend, which I might have unintentionally stumbled upon the truth without realizing). Eventually I ghosted the messaging because all the stuff he was saying was already causing me to be retraumatized and have physical symptoms. I just had to nope the f out of there. Then eventually they blocked me again. The first 2 times I cried and felt abandoned, but this 3rd time I was blocked I actually felt relief this time. Maybe he felt he "won" by blocking me first but I just felt relief. I never ran after him whenever he did those things.

Jesus this makes perfect sense. When I left my ex cuz he was so mean at that point and in jail for 6months to where I could, he took it so personally. So that when he got out, first thing he did was shack up with someone he just so happened to say by pure luck he got her number from another inmate and began talking… I’m like Yeah oh Kay. You had this woman behind my back then, it probably still was going on while we were together but continue… and once she accused him of stealing from her she kicked him out and he had no place to go so he came back… then he just acted like we were together, and then he would cheat on me acting like it’s justified, without me knowing of course til a while later or so.. and it makes sense that he wanted to be the one to leave. But it feels like no matter how hard he tries to just do it to hurt me, like I don’t know if he feels that it’s equal now that I’ve been seriously hurt from it: I can’t trust him, and I just feel like he’s got this mentality where he’s stringing me along to where he doesn’t say we are together anymore, just saying we are friends but can’t tell me when we broke up. I kept breaking up and getting back together with my ex for 6 years, so everytime I "broke up" with him, he never took it seriously. Even when I had PPD and he started getting abusive I told him I'm done with him. And he still didn't beleive it. And the only way I ACTUALLY made him beleive that I was done, It was like slow motion, we were fighting, he was holding our baby in his arms, I was on the floor CRYING, and I Hurd my dad was unlocking the door, And I said, okay, I can go into my room and pretend I'm sleeping, while he smiles to my dad and says hello and acts like nothing is wrong, like ALWAYS, because I kept PROTECTING HIM, Or, I can let my dad see me crying . And if my dad sees me crying, that's it. No more fighting. It's over. Forever. And. Like I said, slow motion. My dad opened the door, he looked at the situation, and said why is she crying, And I told my dad EVERYTHING. while HE was right there, he couldn't beleive it. I let everything out, I wasn't protecting him anymore, And right then, my dad said ok, YOU can move out, or IM moving out and im taking MY DAUGHTER with me ( me) And so, my ex, he had ZERO WORDS, yup. After 6 years of ME, being co dependent on him, I finally left him. Oooooohhh did he HATE ME, still does, after I left him, I was scared for my life, I thought he was really going to end me , you should have seen the way he looked at me, Like " this girl, just EXPOSED ALL OF MY SECRETS" IT WAS scary, he turned into the devil.

The narcissist's gullibility is so promoted by the narcissist himself that it's laughable that they would rather prove it than to actually use their talents to actually earn what they claim to want. I don't do children, further, I reject anyone who falls for their childish methods, thinking they are doing damage control by breaking ties between you and your "friends." Instead of panicking about losing friends, consider it a free filter of your true friends. You can save even further injury by accepting them betraying you too. That puts punishment on the right people. Just STOP desperately needing people if they don't reciprocate beyond shadow of a doubt. If you do your best to be true and they abandon you, good riddance. Learn to entertain yourself perfectly. It may be lonely and you may be resentful, but not nearly as horrible as you would spend much more time suffering from their lack of integrity.

Idk if he was telling the truth but he said he was tryna get me leave him. But when i was tryna break up with him twice he was making me feeling guilty saying “it’s cool everybody leaves me” or since i said i wouldn’t break through text he kept saying “u said u wouldn’t break up through text” and when i broke up with him he told me he had a wife the whole time i realized i wil never know the real truth

Pfff so they can't change...I think they shoud change because at the end of the day even closeiest family members will left them. Even if is hard they shoud atleast try to lv up. Otherwise they will stay in low vibrational frequency. Nobody likes toxic pll. If they WANT long term relationship they shoud treat their partner fair.
