Well said Lee. I'm 54 and been training for 40 years. I went through what you are saying. In the beginning I believed I could take drugs and be huge. I could not. I would see guys taking huge amounts of drugs and hardly look like they work out, the i would see guys who I knew were hardly taking anything and were huge. It took me a few years to finally understand all of that. I got off the drugs after 6 years and have been training natural now for 30 years. Young guys just won't listen even now. 40 years ago I had a bit of a chance to do ok competing because bodybuilding was just getting popular and the guys who were genetic were just starting to get to the gyms. I believe early on the guys that were bodybuilding were littler guys who just wanted to be big. Now there are big guys who just want to be BIG. Ok I'm rambling. I met Lee a couple time here at the Golds in Austin. He seems like a real nice dude and I am here to tell you he is not huge because of drugs.

Lee priest is a legend he speaks the truth and has a logical mind. I had the mentality that I was gonna be the greatest bodybuilder in the world but when I was 17 I kinda realised my genetics wouldn't allow me to even come close to looking like the worst pro. At least I was realistic. I am 42 now and I don't look very good but I still love going to the gym and I do have a bit of muscle too.
