Thank you, Dave. You were the first person I turned to when my shelf broke. I made an appointment with my bishop to release me from my calling as 1st counselor in the Relief Society presidency. I also handed in my temple recommend. It has been quite a journey. My family is still TBM. This message is timely. Last night, I poured my heart out again to my husband. I shared my belief in the true and living God. I tried to share th real message of the Gospel. He asked this question, "If there isn't 3 degrees of glory, why did God say there are many mansions in heaven I go to prepare a place for you." I wasn't sure how to address that. I am going to share this timely message with others. This message you just put out is an answer to my prayer. I want my family to know and worship the true and living God. I thank you for your friendship. You are a man of integrity. God bless you and your lovely wife.

Hi Heidi, that question is very easy to answer from your husband. In the Jewish tradition the patriarch, the father having many children, if any of his children got married, he would build additional rooms for them and their grand children. The more his children the more rooms he would build. It is not like families in America where we build our own homes, the Jewish tradition created a One home full of many rooms for the entire family when they got married. That reference shows that our Heavenly Father is making a place with all being unified together building more rooms, mansions for His family. Hope this makes sense.

Your husband is a believer like I was for over 60 years God , said many mansions and not 3. These parables is what little Joe used to trick the people. You husband will see the when time comes.

@Dave Bartosiewicz Thank you so much for replying to my question. I will share this with my husband. My heart was so heavy last night. His questions caught me off guard. It is wonderful to know there is room for everyone with him. We have a dwelling place with him if we accept who he truly is. I am so grateful for the gift of grace. It scares me a little that when I was confronted, I didn't have a ready answer. I do study the Bible. This helps me to double down on my study. I love him and want to know him even better.

Hey Dave. I saw and enjoyed some of your conversations with Fr. Justin a few years back and was curious where you ended up and so stumbled across this video. You seemed to have some interest in the Orthodox Church. Did that ever go anywhere? I was raised a Protestant/Evangelical for most of my life and ended up becoming Orthodox about 10 years ago after having been to Bible school and on the mission field for a number of years. I can definitely relate with the challenges of leaving the beliefs one was raised with or held for a long time. It's not easy! But wild horses couldn't drag me away. I truly found a home in the Orthodox Church.

I left less then a year ago. Hard core LDS. My heart was broke. Great mourning. I believe in God. Spirituality. I do not believe in organized religion in any form. I’m on the fence about Jesus. I’ve spent the last year reading and researching. Religion is all about control and greed. No need for me.

Same with us. Had to start over. We are damaged but can be healed. It took some years but now we go to a little local Bible church. Still have trust issues but we have made lovely new friends and love what we are learning. Who knew what a treasure the Bible is! We love going to classes, Bible study, service projects, social activities, and especially Sunday worship singing and the full-length actual thought-provoking Jesus-centered sermon and come home rejoicing in Christ. The truth will set you free! God bless.

As a never Mormon, I stepped away from my religion for a time. I didn't lose my belief in God and Jesus. I just quietly spoke to my higher power. I now attend weddings and holiday services at church. I love the hymns and feel real love there.

I go to the Presbyterian Church now. It doesn't have all the methods of control that I saw in the Mormon church. The specifics about the faith matter much less to me than how the faith is administered. I find more solace there than I ever did in Mormonism.

Hello Dave! I hope you are doing great! I meant to type this comment to your earlier reconciliation video and I really admired that about you. I feel INCREDIBLY embarrassed that I attecked you for a while. I was in the middle of deconstructing several things and I projected my religious trauma on you which was NOT fair to you. I met you in person once and I think you are an amazing guy and you are just living your faith. But I do sense you have a really beautiful heart. I feel really embarrassed. I truly am sorry! I send you my deepest love!

Christianity ISN'T "how it all began". The Hebrew Tanakh belongs to the Jewish People, literal Israelites. The New Testament is a (gentile) Christian Addendum to the Hebrew Tanakh and, despite its claims, was never accepted by the Jewish Community. Mormonism's mistake was to try to restore something that was an innovation.

Judaism of now is not the Faith of the Second Temple and before. "Orthodox" Judaism, Hasidic, Reformed, Conservative are all less than 250 years old. They are an attempt at reconstruction of the ancient Jewish Faith though adding the Talmud. It is a wholly different and modern religion. Ashkenazi Jews, the largest population, are descended from converts centuries ago to other reconstructionist Judaism. Sephardic are the same. They are not ethnic Jews. Hellenic Jews did accept the New Testament and became the first Orthodox Christians along with Gentiles in the 1st century using the Septuagint translation (the oldest now).
@TacShooter Жыл бұрын
@@LadyMaria The Talmud contains commentary on the Mishnah, which is commentary on the mitzvot in the written Torah. I know you probably WANTED the Jewish People to die out to justify the invention of Xtianity by the Roman Flavian dynasty, but they didn't. The only time they were phased at all by Xtianity is when Xtians went racially berzerk and started killing them for DARING to challenge their empty messianic claims by their mere existence. You wouldn't know how to pronounce Hebrew or which books of the Tanakh were approved by the Jewish community if you did not have the Mishnah and the Talmud. I'm curious, do you even know that there are TWO Talmuds? And today's Rabbis have a line of inheritance from the Sages of the Mishnaic period, at least. Why are you even bringing up Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, etc.? "Orthodox" Judaism isn't responsible for those. Yep, and there you go with the racist accusations. Another sign of an uneducated person who thinks they know it all.
@LadyMaria Жыл бұрын
@@TacShooterI don't wish death on anyone. That's ad hominem fallacy as with your other insults. But what I've stated is true. There is no link to the Second Temple. Don't pull the race card, that's just trying to silence your opponent. Another fallacy. Modern Judaism is a religion, nothing more. Most are Ashkenazi who descend from converts. Truth hurts but it is what it is. Call me whatever you like, we're used to the abuse. But at least they aren't martyring us anymore, just throwing stones and spitting on us. The oldest copy of the OT is the Septuagint. Anyway, I won't see your reply. I'm sure it will be full of abusive accusations and ad hominems, sadly. Lord have mercy.
