Dunno if anyone's mentioned it, but it really seems like, visually at least, that Zealot's has a tighter and more circular bolt spread at base than any other fusion. Fusions are my favorite guns and just going by my old Feeding Frenzy/High Impact roll compared to the new rolls, it's fully the tighter/more circular bolt spread that seals it for Zealot's.

Only fusion ive ever used consistently in pvp is an under pressure high impact reserves glacioclasm and it feels illegal, but managing the long charge time is a bit tricky. Its crazy to think a rapid fire can commit such crimes. Looks pretty fun

I haven't done Garden of Salvation during Shadowkeep. Part of it is because of time, work, and lack of power. The one time I was able to get to do the raid, was when I went do the Divinity quest. ...and that was when i got it DURING Beyond Light! When I saw another DestinyTuber, TrueVanguard, using that Fusion, he got Fluted Barrel, Liquid Coils, Under Pressure, High Impact Reserves with a Range MW and he was shredding players in PVP with it. Back at the one time I did run through Garden Of Salvation, when I was doing the Divinity Quest, I got the fusion to drop for the first time, and I got the SAME EXACT ROLL TrueVanguard has, ...except I got Reload MW. After I got the fusion, I tried it out in PVP, and fell in love with it. Now here I am, ...with almost 1000 kills with on the original Zealot's and it never left my Guardians. Now that I heard that Zealot's is craftable, I am excited to get the weapon crafted. Already got two patterns under its name(one of them I had to use Deepsight Harmonizers), and I'll gladly create TrueVanguard's original PVP Roll and make your PVP God roll as well. Hope I'll get it in the next three weeks(or less depending on RNG)

We do know for sure that there's some weirdness on it, a while back there was some bug allowing you to have infinite ammo by slide canceling out of the bursts, which implies that the way that the gun shoots is just fundamentally different to other fusion rifles.

I just crafted Zealots and it feels amazing. I actually put rapid-fire fusions down for awhile atleast in pvp but this puts them right back in the lead and back as one of my goto weapons this thing is insane 💪

After using both a perfectly crafted zealots and a 3/5 gravitic (bad mag and masterwork), I think I prefer the gravitic. Just felt nicer to use and more consistent in hitting those bolts

I think Zealots Reward has always had secret sauce. It's the only rapid fire I ever bother using. I've gotten better rolls on other rapid fires, better stat packages, yet Zealot's is still the only one I could consistently trust.

The problem of Bungie nerfing a weappn is that usually they nerf the whole archetype or perks instead of that specific weapon, at least with legendary ones, like the main ingredient nerf that got under pressure nerfed on all fusion rifles and the cartesian coordinate nerf

I have only ever gotten on Zealot's from Garden way back in Shadowkeep. It's Under Pressure / Rampage and I agree, it shouldn't feel as good as it does. It almost feels more like an adaptive at times.

I experimentated with hammer forge/smallbore and fullbore and found out that hammer forge fits me the best 😊 no negative stats and since under pressure gives a chunk of stability, there's no need for smallbore. Also I use the ballistics mod. Haven't experienced any difference with or without a CB mod. Already near 350 crucible kills on it 😎

As a solo gamer dad / FR junkie I just don't really have a fire team anymore; so the FR that's never left my load out is a fortunately rolled Burden of Guilt with full bore / projection / killing wind / successful warmup (a similar plug1 as well). It aligns well with stasis goodies, and just cooks in PvP after one kill. It's old advice of yours, but I still am evangelist for that roll. 🖖

You pretty much did the same exact roll for PVE as i did. I just threw on small bore instead of hammer forge, but everything else was the same. The gun is fun in PVE. For PVP, i may try the barrel you used, we will see. I hate losing out on stability on full bore, but if you're that consistent without a counter balance mod, i may try it with out one. I saw 49 and was thinking, MEH lol.

gonna just chime in that for years now, I've felt like Void fusion rifles have felt significantly better than other purely because of its visuals. The Void bolts are less noisy than Solar and Arc, and feel as though they are more accurate as a result. I've felt like this ever since Erentil, so it's no surprise to me that this one has that secret sauce

I crafted zealot's and got a 5/5 gravitic. As an MnK player... yeah I'm keeping Gravitic. The aim assist matters WAY more on PC, and I just can't hit anything with Zealot's despite watching back my footage and being on target. Gravitic made me put down my 3k kills glacioclasm, zealot's will make me pick it back up because of the nerf to closing time LOL. Looks utterly insane on controller though, and man that might be my favorite fusion. I love that Veist LFR reload animation so damn much.

Would love for you to start doing controler and m/k fusion reviews because the rolls really change between these two inputs. I feel like you can't get away with max range no stability no recoil direction roll on m/k. Controler aim assist is carrying the bolts to connect at far ranges but on m/k you need all the help with tracking your opponents so the stability is the go to imo.

I agree they are different, but I also think the primary concept of accuracy and range applies to PC too. The accuracy cone at this range is what's making this possible, not as much the controller friction from aim assist (which zealot's doesn't have a lot of anyways). I do wish I could spend MORE time on both devices to give a completely clear picture from my own experience though, but these guides would be like three months late if I did that at this stage of my life though. (full time job, 4 year old, etc.) maybe one day!

I still have the old Under Pressure + HI Reserves roll that came from my first runs of Garden, and even with unoptimized 2 columns and a non masterworked stat, it still slaps, even if I may be tossing up on the max distance kill potential. I only got the hand cannon red border complete when Garden was featured last week, so I've been trying for the Prophet and Zealots. Unfortunately, I don't really have that much time anymore.

I can imagine it'll be a blast in PvP once more. sadly I have no faith in its PvE potential especially for its element, there's already so many great arc fusions and Plug doesnt seem to do anything that will make it stand out there, and as you've noted yourself, precision frames aren't the best in PvE. if it had jolting feedback instead of voltshot, and moved it to the third column then it would be a more interesting pick. maybe a reconstruct and reservoir, as its the only one of its kind with that spesific combo

What do you think about plug one having the same godroll as zealots reward and the new dungeon fusion? Is it worth it or do you think these combinations really only shine on faster charge rates since they can take advantage of it quicker? Also does the adept charge time mod save it?

Prefer Adaptives for 3v3, Rapids for 6v6 a lot of the time, find Adaptives on average more consistent for getting picks
