My dad has a house on cudjo key and there were widespread rumors that one of the neighbor guys, who was a single guy that retired when he was like 45 years old and bought a nice house on cudjo key was a fishing guide, and he found a raft of square groupers, sold them in miami over a couple years and retired.

More keys action, eh? Noice! I absolutely intended to make sure I can spend time fishing south florida, specifically inshore and offshore fishing. Nowhere else like it! Mahi Mahi, Dorado and Dolphin. No idea where the Dolphin name came from however. Some of the most pretty and delicious fish in the ocean. Growing up with all sorts of fishing shows has given me so much more information and knowledge around fish and IDing them, including their genders.

I would love to go out and try and catch Mackey those are such pretty fish and I think they're just one of my favorite ocean fish I've never had one before but man they are pretty and they look so unique. Your fire is a bit hot buddy. I'd let that log burn down a bit more or use a hatchet to split it up into smaller pieces and add less overall wood that way. Also for high temp cooking use avocado oil as it has a high smoke point.

Man, I went to Key West back in like 1996 and I was only like 14, but I caught so many different fish down there. We stayed at 0 Duval Street, the Southernmost Tip of the US where the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic meet. All I had was a Quantum Snapshot 2500 reel with a 6'6" Shakespeare Medium Heavy rod with like 12 lb mono and I caught some big jack crevalle, some decent Spanish macks, some big snapper of different varieties, and I even snagged into a BIG cobia, but it broke my line. I was fishing with gear bought on an allowance budget. I was fishing off of the boardwalk down there catching red snapper like one after another and there was a captain and his first mate drinking beer on the deck of their boat watching me and they offered to take me for a drink. They took me to the Hog's Breath Saloon and I wasn't expecting them to hand me alcohol, but the captain handed me a shot glass. He didn't tell me what it was, he just got a shot for him, his first mate, and me. I slammed it and it burned SO badly going down. I said what the hell was that!? He said, "son, that was 190 proof rum, and you took that like a champ, want a job?" I told him that I was only 14 and that I lived near Tampa. He said, "man that sucks, because you fish like an old salt". That is an experience that I will never forget.
