What do you if it snows in Arizona or gets super cold for a few months.
@azsulcata2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't ever snow where I'm at. It can drop below freezing (although rare and only for a day or two) but all my enclosures will heat well enough to handle temps around 20 degrees which just doesn't happen here. I have higher wattage bulbs I can swap out to just in case.

How do you keep the humidity up for the redfoots?
@azsulcata2 жыл бұрын
With them having a tree and bush in the enclosure along with the grass a daily spraying will do the trick. Without vegetation it would be much more difficult. The pad I built their house up on is garden top soil which also holds lots of moisture.

Do you keep the leopard tortoises out year round?
@azsulcata2 жыл бұрын
Yes, all of my tortoises once they get to be a certain size/age live outside year round.

Do snake attack them?
@azsulcata2 жыл бұрын
I don't have any problems with snakes where I live. In their natural habitat though they are known to share burrows with snakes without issue.

With Russian torts, the females are larger. With Sulcatas, the males are larger. Which is larger when it comes to Leopards?
@azsulcata2 жыл бұрын
With Leopards females are typically larger than the males.
