At 2:20, if he did that, you could just move your pawn to d6, removing the defender by blockading it. You would lose your woman but not end the video. Keep in mind the rules say 'undefend it,' not 'move defender away'.

@@ritamdutta5860 Rules are that you have to undefend your piece if it "gets" attacked. Since the knight merely remains under attack the rules does not prevent adding a defender. (If opp adds another attacker it becomes a matter of interpretation wether Simp has to move the pawn)

At 1:47, he could've *partially* completed the challenge very early. Since it's leading to checkmate in 1, which ends the video promptly and at least completed the match before it ended, then Simp will just say "and there's no wtf today", that could've been the best choice.

i actually agree with the way simp interpreted the rules. moving the piece to a safe square isnt undefending it, it's running away. the challenge is exactly leaving the piece there and making it vulnerable to the attack

Can't you remove the defender by moving the piece that's attacked to an undefended square. You can also block the defender with a move like Ke7 blocking line of sight on the queen. You added rules that were not put into the challenge.

Chess but every alternating move is a king move Like (playing as white) 1. e4 e5 2. Ke2 Nf6 3. Nc3 and so on You lose if you get checked but it's not the king move alternation or you can't move your king (or of course you get checkmated)

@@candylover6419 the rules are that the moment a piece gets attacked, you have to remove it’s defender. However if a piece remains under attack it does not need to be undefended unless it’s attacked by a new piece. We can see this in action as the pawn on h6 is getting attacked but he didn’t remove its defenders because he didn’t need to remove defenders from a piece that has been attacked for a period of time ( so what he has likely done is remove the h6 pawn’s defence the moment it got attacked by the g pawn and defended it a move later making the rule still apply and the video to go on)
