It's time to discover Everything New in Minecraft. It's my first time seeing The Deep Dark of Minecraft, and many updates I've never played before. Let's Play Minecraft again
Watch my entire Minecraft Let's Play series in order here: • RTGame Minecraft Let's...
Thank you everyone for the support on this series and the excitement for future Minecraft videos. It's been so much fun to stream this on Twitch recently, and I'm looking forward to playing more Minecraft there soon. I don't know how long I plan to keep playing the game for, but I'm having a lot of fun.
Each of these highlight videos you've seen contain about one week's worth of streams on my Twitch channel. I didn't plan on making my Minecraft let's play a series originally, and I thought that I'd stop playing after defeating the End Dragon. But I had so much fun and it felt like there was more to still see. I never want to deny myself the fun I'm having, so we kept playing after the credits rolled. There will come a point when this series ends, but I don't know when that is myself. So for now, we're going to keep streaming Minecraft on a week by week basis. When it feels like I've played enough and had my fill, that week's worth of streams will be the last video of the series, and I think that's for the best. While Minecraft is basically endless, I don't want this to become just another Minecraft Let's Play that exhausts everything in the game forever. I want to really enjoy my time with the game while I'm playing.
The Chapters of Part 3 of my Adventure:
00:00 The New World
10:09 The Deep Dark
31:08 The Dig Site
38:03 The Mansion
46:41 The Goat Mountain
1:05:14 The Ruin House
1:21:19 The Deeper Dark
1:30:25 The Circles of Hell
Everything in this video was recorded live on my Twitch Channel. My schedule is Tuesday & Thursday @ 7pm, Saturday & Sunday @ 3pm - all times based in Ireland: / rtgame

Narratively, it's better that he didn't. He talks about dwarves who dig too deep and got too greedy, but then he became the victim of that same greed. He becomes blinded by it, tunnelling furiously and screaming nonsense about how there must be a circle, even as those who love him tell him there can't be. He even has an encounter with what might as well be those same lost dwarves. Unable to tunnel deeper, he tunnels up and finally reaches the open sky. The rain falls onto his face, washing off the dirt and helping him to clear his head. He erects a monument to the experience, both in his adventuring spirit and the follies of greed. Then, he goes home. That said, if he does explore a different deep dark and quickly finds an ancient city, I will laugh very hard.
@Nyahahameha

Fun fact! You don't sink into powder snow if you're wearing leather boots. Doesn't help Butter crossing the snow..... Other fun Butter-adjacent facts: - You can breed Butter and Toast together to get a mule (Jam?) - Donkeys and mules can wear a chest for some extra inventory while traveling, but can't use horse armor - Llamas (the wandering merchant's pack animal of choice) can also wear chests, but can't be ridden. Instead, if you have multiple llamas you can leash one and the rest will follow.

I love how Chloe edits the building montages. Often with minecraft youtubers it'd be sped up, with bombastic music and all that, which is plenty fine. But here it's so much different and reflects the slow, peaceful energy that building actually feels like. It's a great change of pace from other mc youtubers and fits this play through specifically so well.

The trend of skipping construction is one the biggest things I dislike about modern Minecraft videos. That and the classic "I did some mining offscreen" thing. Big complex buildings are cool, but sometimes they lack the "real" feeling that smaller buildings do. It's not always about the destination.

I don't think we give enough credit to how amazing of a builder Dan is. He isn't sticking to established rules a lot of builders do (very closed palette of blocks, attempting to remain similar to real life, mimicking real world architecture), and it makes something that feels genuinely organic and unique at once. There are some amazing minecraft builders, but Dan doesnt seem to care much, and jumps straight into having fun and what he likes instead of fixating on what looks good, and it makes his stuff so so cool Its so neat :D

This series is so beautiful for reasons I struggle to explain. I’ve seen people saying they want Minecraft content to change back to the old times, but I think what we really need is this. Not over edited content, but also not something so basic that even if it used to feel exciting it would feel boring now. This is a perfect middle way between the two, an adventure with a charming and heartwarming commentary. So thank you for this

Definitely. The reason I never got into Minecraft content back in the day was because it is WAY too over the top (and I just don't particularly vibe with roleplaying stuff), or people uploading unedited videos of their play session. This shows all the good stuff (which is a majority of the play time mind you!) without acting like it NEEDS to hype itself up.

I feel like a lot of builders with far more experience could learn some things from the way Dan builds, particularly in colour scheme. All of his builds have been so colourful and used so many blocks that people overlook, it makes builds that feel genuinely inspired and all their own. Too many people default to neutral tones and to repeating schemes people have already used. The ruin house is legit beautiful, and its cool comparing it to the tower and seeing how much he’s improved even by the third episode

RIGHT????? I feel like most people that often build in Minecraft stick to specific themes- mainly wood, stone, etc. (I'm guilty of this myself, most creative I been is making hay rooftops). People that don't play Minecraft often have more potential of using materials that are usually overlooked. I was impressed when he made the amethyst house look good, especially with the fact some kinds of the wood don't particularly look good together. This is pretty much true in every field, the people that are more inexperienced are more likely to get creative with their resources :0

That entire segment with the Warden at the start at the video, yeah the START of the video. Was terrifying, and that moment where it turned to you and ROARED in your face before turning you into a stain on the wall was horrifically awesome, this game has it's moments. Even if unmodded. 50:03 This moment right here was beautiful, further enhanced by my favourite track in the entire game. Mice On Venus, the way that Dan's placement of his bed is synchronised with the piano notes of the song just makes it an even more magical moment. The Ruin House is now one of my favourite moments in the entire series, it's such a calming moment before the chaotic madness that Dan would spiral (circle) into while in the Deep Dark. And that ending of you finally returning home to the Wizard Tower felt so real, like just falling into bed after a long flight.

Not only do we get the chance to experience the world from your fresh and naive Minecraft eyes, but we also get to have our minds be blown by circles and Minecraft diamonds. But actually though, I have learned so much about being able to slow down the enjoyment of my world’s gameplay. Next time you go into the deep dark bring a lot of wool, wool prevents the sensors from hearing you and you can place wool blocks without causing any noise. The warden is blind and can only hear and smell you. If you use wool you can prevent it from hearing you and you can also use snow balls to distract it if it has not spotted you yet. The deep dark does hold more secrets, there is a structure with unique loot that spawns there but not every deep dark biome has such a structure.

Honestly, seeing someone build a base just out of the blocks they found lying around by raiding structures really makes me reconsider base building in Minecraft as a whole. Instead of having a plan from the start and going out to seek blocks, just improvise with what you've got and can find, and that can lead to really nice structures like Dan has built. Seeing him get excited about stuff like Wool in the mansion is honestly really cool. That's not to say plans are bad, but I feel just going with the flow like Dan is doing is a really good way of playing this game and I think I'll honestly take lessons from this next time I play. Dan I have to be honest, the deep dark segment was the most scared I've been in ages. Like, I've fought the warden a couple of times, both on Singleplayer and Servers. But I watched the update content get explained as it came out and I 100% cheesed it multiple times. There's no other way. I always tryhard myself up with as much protection gear as I could and I had golden apples and even enchanted golden apples on standby. Any time I died, I could tell that I died because I did something stupid, not because I did the most logical thing in the circumstances and I just didn't know crucial information which would have made me not do that. The warden didn't frighten me anymore because it was a known quantity. It's like if somebody asks you what you'd do in a zombie apocalypse, and you rattle off some plan that has 'dont get bitten' as a key element. This video was the scariest thing I've seen in forever. It's like watching a horror movie called 'Zombies' and seeing the protagonist with no cultural or implicit knowledge try to reckon with a threat they have no reference for. You did everything right. You had a base camp with a bed, you experimented and worked out how the sculk works, you took precautions. What scared me so well about this video and what made it so enjoyable is seeing how you approached it and realising that you didn't just do your best, you did better than I would've managed, and probably the best you could do. Super entertaining video. As always, yes, but especially this one. I have rarely seen the world through another's eyes more viscerally than this. Holy fucking Christ.

As a geometry teacher this was so fun and infuriating. The center RT is trying to find is the circumcenter of a quadrilateral (created by perpendicular bisectors) which does not exist for a quadrilateral that isn’t a rectangle. From the circle perspective, he created two chords and assumed them to be diameters, which they are not. Still A+ for effort and for using Desmos

Also, in case anyone was wondering how someone found the center, all you would have to do is make the inscribed shape a triangle instead of a quadrilateral (remove one of the points). Then you can use perpendicular bisectors to find the circumcenter.

Tbh I've loved all the new updates (even the bee one everyone hated) and don't mind them adding new passive mobs and things for ambience (not everyone plays aggressively!) It feels like seeing someone experience the game it was meant to be experienced. Minecraft content has sort of turned into this oversaturated content mill of seeing what game mechanics can be pushed to create more impossible successes. But that doesn't really speak to how I play the game or enjoy the way it's played- honestly I just like to keep bees and plant flowers.

I think its genuinely impossible to overestimate this series. It has the most unintentional while seeming intentional charm I’ve ever seen in a minecraft playthrough, let alone a playthrough of most games. Another thing that adds to this is both that you can tell hes having fun and experiencing this for the first time. His world aids in it greatly as well, because it crafts a story for him as he plays, something I’ve rarely seen another do. He starts off in a bad biome, experiences all the old stuff he knew, leaves it behind and immediately comes across a new biome, which he makes his home. Turns out, there was a giant, gorgeous cave underneath it. So, he makes his house out of amethyst. He then explores just the tiniest bit and finds like 5 new biomes in 2 seconds, and another 5, and it just keeps coming. Narratives leading into narratives, everything just goes into eachother perfectly. This thing plays out exactly like a book, and I mean exactly. I dont know what else to say, its just that good. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next, and while I’ve accepted it will end, I’m so glad I get to see one of my favourite INTERNET PERSONALITIES do a youtube. But the world is also beautiful, and it’s so lovely that RT is able to appreciate that. Minecraft is a game that is truly yours, where you get to build what you want and do what you want. I really love how you play Minecraft- it feels very much how developers intended, in the sense that it hasnt been molded by meta gaming, which is very easy to do with Minecraft. I really love watching this perspective personally- it be a vibe! Also keep at it with the Deep Dark- the mines lurk for you yeet

Dan taking all the stuff he gathered from multiple adventures around the world to make one house felt so right and nice. Like the ending of an anime when all the pals fight together

@@bluesheep4373 He has, sadly im pretty sure he explictly said he won't play it, I think part of the issue is that some people were backseating/spoiling the game and it got to a frustrating level, I think he mentioned somewhere he might play it in his own time, but unlikely to stream it. Which sucks cause that was likely one of my top (if not most) favourite series.

How dan manages to make the most unique block pallets work amazes me. Genuinely impressed.

I think this might be my favorite series on your channel (and that's saying something, for the record). I am consistently floored by how good your final builds are, and the editing on these videos is phenomenal across the board. You're having so much fun, I keep almost buying Minecraft again so I can try all the new things too! It's been a pleasure to rediscover this game alongside you.

The deep dark *sometimes* has a structure in it known as an ancient city. If you had found that, it would have been worth it for the adventure alone, nevermind the fact it has some of the best loot in the game. Unfortunately I don't think this deep dark biome contained one of those. You've been so thorough I really doubt you missed it if it was there. Next time you find a biome like that, don't be deterred by your previous attempts not yielding anything. Anything aside from Minecraft Diamonds™ of course. Don't worry about going there so often by the way, I found it extremely entertaining. Was on the edge of my seat for most of it, and the discord memes had me crying of laughter. I love you Dan, keep doing what you do.

To add onto this, the ancient city has a tendency to spawn under large mountains
