I'm just happy this game has a remake which is probably the first light gun rail shooter to receive it plus I don't care what review score it gets I'm going to love it a lot once it comes out.

The only changes thus far that irk me are the score counter noises (hope we can disable that), the fact that the 2nd player's life torches and gunfire aren't blue (I mean come on, that's so cool and also one of the reasons I liked playing as G ;_;) and it looks like Chariot's bardiche is not bloody like it was in the original. Or maybe it's just not as prominent? Also I dunno why the score counter for Player 2 doesn't show up in the footage. Other than that I'm loving everything else like the updated animations, ESPECIALLY on Kage! Definitely getting this Day 1 and I am curious to see what the rest of the game looks and sounds like, and also how well the gyro aiming works. On a side note, it is still so surreal seeing the models and their animations ripped straight from the game and viewed through the Blender viewport. I really gotta pick up Blender sometime soon... would be fun to try and recreate low-poly 3D models in the same style! Also, wondering when "The House of the Dead: Egregious Version" is coming out! :O

Id love to see more of the HOTD1 deconstruction, the thought of being able to move freely around that mansion would be incredible. As far as the remake goes, Im in two minds about the lighting engine, while it gives a lively feel, it feels like the spyro remake lighting, so I worry will some models just look like toys.

If there was a way to extract high definition textures from the arcade version the game could be rebuilt from hod pc and hod2 flashback assets, perhaps extracting them from cache could work but it would be quite a lot of work

Hah, I think you're right about the damage points, I didn't realize they took damage. Good catch.

@@egregiousguy everything is a "blink amd you miss": the reload sound, the new costume for civillians, the stilettos, the Burger model. I cant even tell of saruzou still have a damage to his head after the headshot because his face went down, but the hand holding nothing on the chamdelier and no blue torches for P2? Now thats a mistake.

to be honest the new scoring system which displays the score along the shooting is a bit eye-annoying, visually speaking. Hopefully this could be turned off in the setting

Honestly i think the graphics are much Better than original , but a bit out of place. Everything is dark and is harder to spot enemyes in the background. I would prefer something with a art Direction Similiar to house dead 2, até leAst in terms of colors and cheesiness. The music and sound looks great.the Gameplay only time Will say
