Jon Russell Older post I know, but with the exception of bow cavalry, archers are infantry :P

What are the most valuable allies to try and get from the mainland after you take these 2 southwestern islands and look towards Kyoto? Last time I did a campaign and took Kyoto, I only had one ally (Hattori) and although I helped them get very strong, they eventually turned on me, too, and fighting off the entire country of Japan is rather tiresome (I was the Oda, so it wasn't too hard). Also, why in this campaign did you not do farms sooner? Your clan gets a bonus on farm income as it is and probably would've helped your early game more than rushing the incense trade node. That was very expensive for just some incense and a few hundred koku per turn (I am new, so trying to figure out why you do certain things, that's all). Keep up the clan overview vids, I find them really informative and really helps new players like me hop into the game and hit the ground running!

After you have the Legendary reputation, every clan the game goes against you. It has to happen to be a challenging game mechanic.

I wonder if there's a mod that has yari samurai in yari wall? Otherwise they're useless. It's kinda stupid. Why have the unit anyway if they're of no use. If they're yari samurai, they should be better than yari ashigaru. 😮‍💨😑

That has nothing to do with Archery. That gives Command when Defending on Land. I know the skill tree from the top of my head, don't worry :P.

Do you mean why I put them in Yari Wall? Because otherwise the unit is terrible, Yari Wall is what makes them overpowered.

Not really in general, but it completely depends on the situation, there's no definitive answer.
