@KalindsLife great video, not many videos doing reviews on the 80w, so i was hesitant at pressing the buy button, so I thank you for that, and I'm sure everyone else looking for a review will appreciate it also!

It kills me when companies balloon the description of a diode laser module and you have to read the fine print to know the actual optical output (which is really the only important thing) just for click bait. So happy to see a YT guy that doesn't do that. Oh, wait. You did, forget what I said 😂

Don’t love the attack but l did forget to put 20w Diode in description! Thanks for the heads up! I’m always down for broader search results! Thanks from the heads up Bruh.

Don't let the mouse catch you making Disney stuff! He will bust down your door and break your kneecaps! Awesome vid though lol. If I had money....talent.....space I would start making some neat stuff with that!

From running lasers for about 10 years be very careful using anything reflective underneath what your cutting. The back reflection can and will burn the lenses. They run the focal length fairly high to help with avoiding that. But that piece of polished stainless underneath is a bad bad idea with a laser regardless of focal length.

Nice video. I think you might have your "S" value in Lightburn set way to low, I have the 4040-XE with the 5Watt output laser and for it to run properly the "S" Value needs to be set at 10,000 not 1,000. Fox Alien told me the reason for the discrepancy from other laser units is because these units are for CNC Routers also and they turn at a max of 10,000 . You might be running your laser at only 10% of its' full power potential. According to their website the 80Watt should cut through 12mm (1/2") plywood in a single pass.

Check out this video I made…. Get the MOST POWER out of your Laser by doing THIS in Lightburn! kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5jdgatqrN2jjtk

Excuse me sir, but can you please tell me the size and type of screws you are using to mount the laser to the bracket, the ones going from the mounting bracket to the laser and the ones that connect the bracket to bracket, I misplaced mine and don't know what to order

Do you know how or where i can order an extra mounting plate?
@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman Жыл бұрын
Have you tried to contact @Foxalien ??? I’m not totally sure they sell these by themselves. If you don’t get any response let me know and I can reach out to ask.

@@TheCrawlspaceCraftsman yes sir I did, well they replied back a couple hours ago but nothing on what I asked them so I asked the question a second time, hopefully they understand what I'm asking on the second reply 😄 I'm just tryna see if I can purchase a replacement mounting plate for the 80w laser

Can you use an offline controller with a laser thx jody

I’m about 99.9% no. I think it has something with the power settings in the files. It doesn’t save it and won’t send. So they don’t work with let’s say .LBN files.

After watching the entire video it seems to be a lack of experience on your part in mechanical and electrical knowledge. 3d printing takes learning of the machine, grbl and gcode. Its not a canon printer

Thanks for watching the entire video at least! 😊
