One I have been utilizing is new Base Vegeta and Piccolo, you can (if you gain enough height from a Vegeta BnB) can use Galik Gun into a Fully Charged Special Beam Cannon. And when moving forwards in the air as Piccolo, Vegeta assist backs him up pretty well.

Strangely enough my main team did once Broly came out: Broly, 16, Goku Black Unfortunately (and fortunately) I'll be replacing Black for Cooler once he comes out no matter what his assist will be. I'm going to have to make it work.

@@fredrickbutts2392 You have the same mentality as Sonic Fox. I have the same mentality as Chris G. Both have won world tournaments. Both perspectives are good. However choosing a random team of high tier characters fail when the nerf hammers happen. What happened? Less Cell and Kid Buu players online today. Those who build around one character will usually stick to that character no matter what nerf comes their way. We have more character loyalty so you can't call us a fraud whereas those who pick characters based solely on their neutral and run the other way when they get nerfed are indeed frauds... And you can't say they're not. They're tier whores.

Goku and piccolo actually synergize pretty well. Not only do they allow eachother to combo and setup and all that, but if goku is high enough and does lv1 downwards, he piccolo can fully charge special beam cannon for huge damage. Also when sbc is charged, it last longer and let's your 3rd character combo after super if their lv1 is fast enough.

I think 18s best teammate is Tien for a few reasons. Besides the obvious 214M recombo into 2M midscreen being easiest with Tien and 21 assist and Tien being able to easily lvl1>lvl1 or lvl1>lvl3 off her lvl1, Tien assist post patch allows for her to easily combo into 214M after a 2H and get a 2M recombo which nearly doubles the normal damage and gives great corner carry (optimized even more with another recombo assist does give full corner carry). He also makes it so that the other character can DHC to 18 to double Tien, he can double super midscreen with her, he helps her a lot in neutral especially post patch which she really needs and he also sets up for some fairly easy round start 0 bar ToDs off of 5M or 2M with most teams. He also makes her corner setups even more amazing because his assist gives a huge explosion making it almost impossible to see where 18 is going. The only problem with 18/Tien used to be that his assist wasnt the best for pressure midscreen because his assist was low blockstun but post patch it was made really easy to get a true blockstring with him too. I wont argue that 18/Kid Buu is pretty fantastic because it gives her a true 50/50 midscreen that is unreflectable., but I dont think hes her best just because the double super in the corner isnt possible after most longer combos unless started with a 2M in which case most 18 teams can usually at least 2 bar ToD anyway. The bigger problem is that KBuu cannot help her in combos much at all which is huge, and also doesnt help at all in neutral so if youre left with just 18/Kbuu on your team without a 3rd you're not in a good position. The 18 to Kbuu dhc also isnt that great and does pretty low damage. Sure, you can get double super from Kbuu after but 18s lvl1 gives the massive majority of the cast double lvl1 anyway if you go into her lvl1 instantly after the smash in the corner.

So a good way to figure out how tight your block string is, is to set the opponent to guard first and if they get hit during the string then there’s a gap?🤔 (trying to figure out how to best use the lab!)

Yep If they are on guard first anytime there is any kind of gap they will stop blocking. You can also use the new feature of setting moves on reversal so they can down+heavy or vanish or whatever as well if there is a gap!

Broly, Nappa, and Vegeta have good synergy. Can literally get a double super if you use all three of theirs, as long as Broly is first or second. Also Broly's assist makes Nappa's saibamen corner combos easy

Frieza tien is a great combo which extends pressure double supers and adding gotenks gives you two 8000+ dmg combos

Adult Gohan and kid buu is nasty. That my main. The pressure from Gohan with the buu assist is good. Trunks and Black have great dhc and pressure synergy. Krillin and Gotenks have crazy synergy.

my team: 16, vegetto and SS vegeta. aside from the obvious vegeta assist stuff. the fact that vegito can connect into 16's level 3 easily from anywhere on screen provided he does his air super is always great (it also allows 16 to get the crossup in his oki options in the corner). on top of that, 16 assist is a miracle for vegetto's pressure and even for vegeta's if you're not keeping him in the back. vegetto can actually become a threat using 16's assist to get whatever crossup/mixup he'd like. there are also some combos with 16 where you can do vegetto's level 1 into his level 3, as well as the fact that calling 16 and vegeta's assists together in the corner right before spirit excalibur is a guaranteed dragon rush after the super, which is vital for some of vegetto's ToD combos. oh and vegetto's assist is one of the few that allows 16 to recombo after his air dunks without having to super dash, this keeps that extra bit of damage proration in reserve for your combos if you're going for max damage setups. and since i also switch out vegetto with base vegeta sometimes, i have to say that playing Begeta on point in that team is the best thing you could possibly do, considering the fact that 16 and SS vegeta's assists allow him to get meterless knockdown with his medium knee drop as well as valuable resets and gapless pressure options which make the character extremely scary.

T Gohan and Tien have some amazing synergy. Gohan gets easy ki bomb extensions that can allow for a skd, while Tien gets combo extensions off his volleyball fist, as well as a double super/dragonrush off of Gohans lv1. There's alot more tech I haven't specified, but they were damn near made for each other oddly enough

I found some pretty cool bardock frieza stuff. If you delay friezas death ball and tag into Riot javelin you can superdash and get another combo into a super. Frieza assist is also useful for combo extensions with him.

Yamcha's damage buff to Spirit bomb lets a lot of characters get sparkles Tod thanks to being able to chain level 1-3, that and his excellent asist make him a decent ancher, if only his damage got buffed

I run Yamcha as mid on my team with base goku as my anchor because goku is pretty bar heavy and kaioken, but I generally tag between them a lot. Base goku assist actually enables yamcha to do damage in the corner. Yamcha allows base goku to get level 3 charge on his spirit bomb. Yamcha can actually combo into a super spirit bomb off of a tag in, so goku doesn't actually NEED to charge to level 3 to be able to combo into super spirit bomb since you can tag off of any spirit bomb (but realistically it costs 5 bars).

My best example of team synergy comes from Skullgirls, with the team of Robo-Fortune, Squigly, and Beowulf. The short version is that Robo and Beowulf cover each other's weaknesses near perfectly in neutral, and Robo and Squigly have amazing DHCs for setting up Squigly's ideal situation.

My team is Android 18, Cell, Gotenks. Android 18 can get 2 lvl1 supers off Gotenks lvl 1 super (only midscreen, unless you do a specific combo in the corner, and Cell allows it) In the corner she let Cell do a double lvl1 super (or lvl1 + lv3). Both Cell and Gotenks assist are great for filling the gaps in her blockstring (Down or 5 H+ android 17) She can also do good combos off Gotenks assist (midscreen and corner) now that it got patched and allows for relaunch.. She can also combo with Cell assist but only in the corner ( but hey, Cell has a pretty good assist for neutral) I'm not mentioning Cell and Gotenks synergy because u probably already know about the double supers and mix ups that Cell can get off Gotenks assist and lvl1. There are also some setups after gotenks+18 double lvl1 super similiar to the kid buu and 18 ones.

Broly/Base Vegeta work very well together. You can get a lot of the same things you can get with Broly/SSJ Goku. Also Broly and Base Vegeta both love the corner, so theres also that.

Piccolo, Tien and Goku SSJ have incredible synergy, with SBC you can do double Lv1 with tien, and with goku you can DHC into a full charge SBC

Goku Base's assist can let Goku Black combo very creatively in the corner, while not the most unheard of, the team I made of Goku Black Goku SSJ and Goku Base (Non ironically, I just like the 3 characters) works pretty naturally because of it. Example Combo w/ Goku Base Do the normal air series, finished with the medium god slicer....thing, wait for the opponent to fall a tad before calling Goku Base (Timing is somewhat strict). From there, do the Zamasu command grab, and from there I can call beam assist, or just super. While not much, it does squeeze some extra damage out of a combo, not to mention it looks really sick.

I haven't mess around with this particular team synergy enough, but I like the synergy Base Goku has with Kid Buu and SsjGoku. Aside from being able to get Goku's Lv.3 off of either of the other two characters' lv.1s, lockdown assists like Kid Buu's lets Base Goku charge at least a lv1 Spirit Bomb while still able to maintain his block string. For beam assists like SsjGoku's they can allow base Goku to combo into Dragon Rush into any level Spirit Bomb. The big deal I'm making about it is that landing even a lv1 Spirit Bomb can build a lot of meter as long as it's NOT used after a vanish. I know most prefer to put Base Goku in anchor, but I think it's worth noting that his qcb+s (both 'Lend Me Your Energy and 'Spirit Bomb') can build a lot of meter, so I can see him being used a as battery for their team if people wanted to. Sorry for the wall of text by the way. I just wanted to put stuff out there. Thanks for reading! ^^'

Goku Black and Frieza are great partners. Black.s asset let's Frieza confirm light auto-combo launcher from far-range. Frieza assist can cover Black spin various situations and help Black's already great neutral game

My team of A21/Majin buu/Broly works ok and I like the characters. I hate that if I want Majin buu fat throw mid screen I have to use Ssj Vegeta. Unless there is something I'm missing.

Vegito Gotenks, the double supers work like 16 even though Vegito pulls them out the corner, and Gotenks is one of the few characters that give Vegito good combo extensions. Bardock 16, rebellion spear plus 16 assist is strong as hell even after nerf, also 16 command grab into super and Bardock level 3 lets Bardock already good mix up cross up in the corner

Great video! Been playing Ginyu since release, team has switched up a ton as I’ve kept playing. Even now, I don’t believe I run the best team for him. Anybody know who works extremely well with him? I enjoy SSJ Vegeta with him, but I feel like that is simply for the assist that works well with anyone. I know a beam is good for him, too, but I’m still unsure if anyone has found any crazy synergy with the character. Any recommendations for partners/teams revolving around Ginyu? I’d like to not play Bardock/16, but if they’re the best for him, I’ll bite the bullet. Thanks in advance, all!

Broly + Goku Blue. similar synergy as SSJ Goku. can go from Lariat into the DHC and Goku Blue can super dash right as he recovers for a combo extension into another super. in longer combos he can either just do a second super or QCF+L into super for a bit extra damage. Also Broly can use Goku Blues assist better than virtually any other character due to his reach, time it right and throw a jab as Broly hits the ground he can get a combo extension off of the dive kick where few others can and in the corner it works even better. Goku Blue is still a terrible assist but with Broly it is actually a pretty usable.

Im hoping in the future they make it like marvel vs capcom and you can pick your assist style. Ex so gohan can shoot a blast rather than a shoryuken.

Hmm, I have been playing 16 and rat on the same team but always thought they didn't have good synergy. Is there any way of comboing into gotenks assist with 16 without the use of dragon rush? Something like combo, powerbomb into assist into another powerbomb? Cause I haven't been able to do it, only with goku assist

traditional powerbomb >assist > powerbomb style combos are so incredibly difficult with gotenks in real world situations they are not really practical. That's why you gotta think outside the box.

I feel Broly is required to have 16, Hit, or another pop up assist in the game. You can only do his alternate lvl 3 super in the corner with only a few assists in the game.

Broly very picky about assists, and yes he def wants at least 1 popup assist of some kind.

Yamcha & Tien Pressure and Easy confirms from both characters specials with each other assists Tien's Assist can overwite blockstun to allow Yamcha to perform true crossups without the protection Tien can Double super off Yamcha's Spirit Ball Tien can Double super off Yamcha's Wolf Fang fist (Heavy Version) can double super from his Assist too. Tien's Assist allows Yamcha to perform is more optimal combos thanks to how the assist launches and without killing damage scaling thanks to being 1-hit Can perform a meterless Dragon rush anywhere on screen with either assist Switching from Yamcha's last hit in his autocombo significantly boosts damage (works for everyone) with Tien you could sneak in an overhead using a special.

Not quite as good as these, but if you get a knockdown with Piccolo into special beam cannon you can use Tien's level 1 super twice. Has gotten me the KO a few times lol.
