This is so good and so cheap to make its sure to be a hit. I fed five people for $6.50 and we all ate well.

Atta gal! I think once we start trying new ideas, we get into it and just keep trying things. I love your picture. 85 cents is a great price. If they are nice and meaty ooooohwee you got a great deal. Glad you enjoyed them. We love them.

Oh yeah and turkey necks. I think the Walmart guy can order you some pork neck bones. They are mainly used for Italian sauce, but good cooks know what else to do with them like BBQ. Are there no meat processing places by you? That's got to be hard. Thank you for watching

I live in the deep south and we've done this for years. Minus the rub, just the BBQ sauce. Yummy!

I was a F.M. to six, but they became adoptable and the rest is history. :) Love crosses many barriers. It was a challenge but it was fun too.

Grandma used to put those in her sauce, ie red gravy to flavor the sauce and meat balls! You are such a good cook!

I love cheap meat, but I really wish they would keep the price down where it should be. We have a hard time finding the neck bones for under 1.19 and they should be cheaper than that. Ox tail was cheap and then someone called it a delicacy and now the price is sky high. Our children were raised on meats like this; they loved tongue. Good to see someone else that really knows good eats! God Bless, Gail and Les

I was raised on pork neck bones and absolutely love them. One of our favorite ways to cook them was in a pressure cooker with rice. Enjoy your videos and look your new uploads every day. Thank

Wow Deb what a great way to feed a family. I just hate the taste of the processed bbq pork in the stores...This is really neat and with a salad and fruit for dessert it's low cal too. Love it! You're the best...as usual, lol.

Sheila, They are so darn good. My only problem is stopping eating them once we start, but they are so cheap to make everyone can pig out. hahaha

Oh My Word! I made this with some thick pork chops and it was absolutely fabulous! I cooked them with only the rub at about 180 degrees all night long. Tonight I reheated with the bbq sauce. Melts in my mouth!

I think the closest we come to neck bones is riblets. All very boney but they taste great. I do them 2 ways. BBQ sauce and one pan of ribs and sauerkraut. both in the oven. My son and I love them but we do them when it is only him and I there. Just got all the ingredients for the rub so that is next. Thanks. grandma lynda

I have never tired neck bones... but i sure am not going to be paying full price for anything! Especially at this time of the year you can eat really cheap... I just love the canning at this time of the year! Tomorrow it is blueberry pie filling and peach pie filling... when people ask me for the recipe for the blueberry pie filling i give them your link and say it is just like grandma is there teaching you! Thanks for another great vid... if i see these i will give them a try!

Yes it is hard to not have choices in food supply. One reason I am working toward growing all my own veggies & add some fruit trees for the future. At least it is something. Sometimes I will get Boston Butt Roasts for .99/lb (but going up all the time) & cut it up & do different things with it. I love Pork but not dry pork! LOL

I didn't make one, but I think I will in October sometime. Keep in touch. Its the best sauce, but takes a long while to make. Thanks Jenn

i got to try this. I'm not sure I have seen neck bones at the grocery store. Do you buy yours from a meat processor or regular chain grocery store?

I never thought to do that with neck bones but I sure will now. I CAN say they make the best spaghetti sauce going! Between the sweet pork flavor and the bones, you can't beat it. Thanks for another great idea, Deb. (Northern girl, huh? I would have guessed Illinois, but there's a similar accent in Central NY...Utica/Saracuse/Buffalo...Humm) LOL, you do NOT want to hear my accent...Tess from NY :)

OMG Now I really wish I had made it there for supper!! This is eating like Kings wish they ate!! My husband always laughs at me because I love bones! If I am cooking Pork Chops (which I prefer this) then I will take all the bones & give him the middle. Another pork I love to cook with is Country Style Ribs~~the best tasting! Crazy thing is with just Walmart here as our only source of groceries~~it is hard to find good things like this. I will look for some though. I love Chicken necks too! lol

Now THAT is talkin my language. I get the cheapest I can find and, like you, I cook it low for hours, and mmm mmmm good. Makes em as tender as can be. Now I have to go find your rub, How did I ever miss that one?!!! I really like rubs, but only if they are more sweet than hot. Lots of spices are good, I just leave out the hot stuff. Thank you, got to try necks, never had those before, but I do love pork.
