Lots of generalizing entire countries in this comment section. America has 315 million people, you can't put us all into 1 category, just like we can't put the rest of you guys in 1 category either. I only got to spend 4 days in Amsterdam but from what I saw it is an absolutely gorgeous place and I am very eager to go back, just like I am for the rest of Europe.

@Faboba Those of us in the USA who WANT to travel, do so. But a lot of Americans just don't want to travel. Many don't have the desire to go to Europe or anywhere else for that matter. That, and it's expensive, and often made more difficult by the country's sheer size. In the UK you hop on a Eurostar train and you're in Paris in two hours. To get to London I had to ride on a bus for three hours just to get to JFK airport.
@Laztana2811 жыл бұрын
Well, technically you can do whatever you want, I can't stop you. I work with Canadians, English, Irish, Scottish, and have obviously dealt with all types of Americans, and honestly we have so much more in common than not. The young people I know from those countries just want to have a good time, just like me. I prefer to categorize based on the type of person, not which borders that person happened to be have been born between. We would have similar traits no matter where we were born.

yes we can, thats why you're american, im Canadian, they're British or dutch or french etc, its why we are categorized, i see what you mean, but what ever country you are from you also have their reputation, for instance i've been to the states and i haven't met a single person who was actively rude to me even in Alabama and Georgia, how ever when i meet people from Britain or France i find more often than not they are rude to me or at least thats my interpretation.

@qnzmg92 That's famous Dutch sobriety. There's no incestant whooping when they're obviously being pandered too. They will laugh when something's funny, and applaud when someone's making sense. Lewis understands this, because he's done gigs in the Netherlands before, I imagine. I'm sure the US-release DVD is on youtube as well, though, if you need to hear other people break down crying before you can think something's funny.

America isn't a bad place, it's just that the worst of us always feel the need to let the stupid out, and put that stupid on youtube and various other internet forums. Most, and I really do mean MOST, Americans don't get on youtube and post ignorant comments like "AMERICA15543", we just shake our heads and ignore them and wish they be outcast from our society.

whoa. some Europeans really to think they know the US, and the americas and their politics, most it seems think that we dont know at all about our own continent's politics; naturally a lot of EUpeans are quick to brag about how much they know about us. in fact they know nothing,... yeah, we do not know european politics becuase it never really had impact on us. we however, even highschool drop-outs, are pretty knowledgeable in central-north american politics. because those matter.

Lol, in Australia we have a 2 party system too, with a bunch of trash parties. Labor and Liberals, that's it. No, the "liberals" have nothing to do with 'liberalism', they're the more obviously right wing of the two. Not that Labor has anything to do with 'labor', they're just more backstabby. The difference with the American system is that you get fined $100 if you refuse or just couldn't be bothered to vote and YOUR vote WILL be rerouted, via a system of 'preference', to one of those two.
