I did exactly what she's talking about in my relationships. I decided to go for the person that fit a list of wants and needs and not red flags. The wild chemistry was not there, but a great and kind friendship was. We have been married almost eleven years now and it's amazing.

Lewis is the best interviewer I have personally observed. He is interested in his guest and shows genuine concern and understanding for the experiences endured. He is respectful, appropriate and organized in his approach. Watching and listening to him is inspirational. I appreciate Whitney's candid responses. She is my favorite comedian and it's great to get to know more about her as a person. She's an asset to the comedy scene, brilliant!! ❤️❤️

I think this is one of your most inspiring interviews for me. A lot of the people do seem perfect now (because I know a lot of them had hard lives prior to their success) or come off having everything together, and this felt more real. I have a chronic illness and realizing well maybe I don't have to be perfect like them and can still have success, really helped me. It gave me hope because for a long time its felt like I couldn't have success if I was sick, a family member even told me that if anyone saw me while I was sick they would just leave (boyfriend wise). So thank you for this, I am glad to know that you don't have to be perfect to be able to achieve your dreams. It feels like a huge burden of feeling like I have to fix everything (& some of it may not be fixable) before having my dreams isn't a reality, it was merely just a perception of reality that I accept as truth, when in fact, it was a lie.

Once again another amazing interview! This one really hit home for me on so many levels. Since having set myself on a path of change and believe that you really do have to re-wire your brain in order to keep improving towards changing into the person you want to be. Not the image you portray of yourself from the influences around you that held you back. Real change starts from the heart and takes time, dedication and persistence - and your interviews are a source of high octane fuel for my engine!

Great respect for Whitney. She's much more grounded than what I thought. We all strive to understand ourselves to the deepest level possible but we MUST drop the EGO so that can happen. Release all the negative energy/vibrations that are linked to an emotion(anger, fear, doubt, jealousy etc.) and replace it with positive energy/vibrations linked to an emotion(forgiveness, love, acceptance etc.) if you dig deep enough and you become nothing you will understand everything.

LOVE this. LOVE Whitney. Wow. I'm typing this while watching, so I'm hoping she's going to say what her favorite books on "neurology" (the word she keeps using) are. If not, I would LOVE to see a list. I never thought about my prior relationships to "soul mates" the way she described them. When she was talking about how that's a sign to steer clear, my eyes got SO wide. Just wow. I wish I had had this when I was 19... Thanks for an amazing interview, Lewis!

The more I listen to her, the better I understood about myself and my family dimension. Family is not perfect but I know they are trying their best to provide everyday. One of the few things I've learned growing up is that we as humans aren't dull, we simply lack the love and passion for self-building that "drive", always have a hobby or two, or three hobbies, other than your family or your partner, an engine or drive that says 'This is you, and this is your time to shine. This is your love and passion. Keep on going.' For example, Whitney's passions are comics, charity, and horses. For myself, my passions are art, music, cooking and entertaining friends, and poetry. My partner is my true love but not my drive. Too much codependency on others makes us, or in other words, it hinders us from building ourselves up into the person we are supposed to be. Sometimes hurdles and difficult experiences do build on us a thicker skin. That's good for some and that's not good for some people and that's okay. Because everyone's brains are wired differently. I've also learned that there are different types of love ranging from "too much, you're suffocating me' to "cold distant, we don't spark, we should stay friends". This was a very interesting conversation. Thank you, Lewis!

Peeps, please research info on attachment theories! It's about how human beings respond in relationships when hurt, separated from loved ones, or perceive a threat. Provided any caregiver, all infants become attached-however, individual differences in the quality of the relationships remain significant. Attachment theory gives us 4 different attachment styles--super interesting! This video is really good!

Great content as usual Lewis. I do agree about using fear/uncertainty/anxiety as fuel to propel us forward and make progress in the right direction. However, how about the person who has so much anxiety that more than 50% of the time they can't properly introduce themselves with a handshake because of sweaty clammy palms. Externally others may not be aware of any sort of "problem" until they make contact with that person. Will you be able to address this ? It's a serious problem. I guarantee many people have experienced this or will soon come in contact with someone like that.

24:25 Yes I agree we have to also lean back and listen more. But if someone says extremely unethical things we Must give that person at least a feedback on ethics. Fact checks. Factual information. Doesn't have to be done in a bossy way. It will likely be perceived as bossy but that is not our problem. As animal rights activists and ethics philosophers we have to give feedback and fact checks so that people can at least hear things from a different view point. That is very important to do. This is all part of activism. And if someone hurts an animal or human it is our responsibility to intercept and protect the innocent.
