Thanks for a very useful video. In fact just ordered a 250h in Sports Luxury with the ochre/cognac trim. Shopped it against the 2020 Mercedes GLA 250 but overall the hybrid Lexus was better for us. The Benz was surprisingly noisy on acceleration.

i drove one for 3 days and it was only the non Hybrid version as here in the video. superb ride and suspension ! great dampening and very quiet, good steering too. best quality inside much better than Toyota. But the engine+10speed auto did not work very good together,imho. I would definately go with the Hybrid AWD version while i own a RX450H

Hmm I really like it but not sure why I would buy this over a RAV4? Why did they go for the tracking pad rather than a rotary dial or something else baffles me. Nice Video Tom.
@chasingcars5 жыл бұрын
I’d say the UX has a couple of advantages - badge (if you care about that - I don’t), and plushness of the interior (the Lexus seats are nice and soft, and the ride is about equal). That said, obviously the RAV4 has massive practicality advantages, and a better hybrid option - the 160kW system is better than the UX’s 130kW version.

Looks ok. Basically RAV4 mechanical twin. Touch pad is a disaster and the volume buttons seem like after thought as theyre in such a weird place. Only positive aspect is reliability but that you can get from a new RAV4.

This car is so nearly a good looking car to me, but the square plastic wheel arches and some of the design elements end up making it look a bit of a mess... The CHR is better looking car imo, although the interior is pretty good save for the 1984 steering wheel Lexus continues to use and is hideous xD

Peugeot 3008 GT kills this car on value and interior
@bobfrombrisbane18315 жыл бұрын
Big Chief that might be true but unfortunately Peugeot are on life support here in Australia.
@bigchief23315 жыл бұрын
@@bobfrombrisbane1831 Peugeot are getting ready to enter the USA market within the next year or two, I think the 3008 and 5008 are going to be the cars which turn the company around in AU/USA. Peugeots from the last 10 years have for the most part been excellent, they have always been known for exceptional engineering but those pervasive issues in the 90's damaged their reputation. But as far as drive experience and comfort they beat all the Japanese cars, and interior quality has taken a quantum leap with the 308, 3008 and 5008. Resale may not be ideal but it's the same with any European car, I wouldn't have a hesitation purchasing one of these in Australia, its much more interesting than a generic Mazda/Toyota/Hyundai which just feels like an appliance. They have invested a lot of time and money in improving quality, style and durability of their vehicles. Peugeot isn't going anywhere, this is just the beginning.

Big Chief Hey Big Chief, which Peugeot do you drive? I like the look of the 3008. I don’t have anything against Peugeot I was just saying with the number of cars they sell at the moment it may not be economic and viable for them to stay here in Australia. I believe they are selling less than a 100 cars a month. I hope they do experience a sales resurgence here in Australia, but it won’t be easy.
@bigchief23315 жыл бұрын
@@bobfrombrisbane1831 Just a 2015 308, but it's a lovely car and I bought it for a steal. I don't think Peugeot are going anywhere in Australia, they are commited to sales growth and are very keen to make deals with their new models. They don't have many dealerships and it seems they don't have any budget for advertising either, that is why they are failing. If they can invest a bit in these areas I think they have a strong future.
