LG C2 High Gloss VS Sony A90K Semi-Gloss Reflective displays

I just returned the LG C2 oled for the Sony A90K 42 inch oled i wanted the better picture quality for gaming and movies hope i made the right choice

What’s up Max. You can’t go wrong for either man. Both look awesome as can be. If do you plan on gaming with your PC though, the LG C2 supports gsync and amd free sync. The Sony A90k, from what I can find online doesn’t. Let me know how you like it 👍👍

I don't care too much about gaming (just regular gamer, not too picky with gaming features), so my main focus is movies, so possibly I'll take the Sony. My only concern was that matte screen.

Did you remove the protective film from the C2? The LG has a peel-off protective film, while the Sony just has a sticker. The red tab on the right-hand bottom of the LG screen in your video looks like the tab for the protective film. I've seen another video or two where folks have forgotten to remove it. The film is highly reflective; far more than the TV itself.

@@UNBOXxp It makes a big difference. Hope you'll reshoot the video with the shipping film removed from the LG. I'd love to see an accurate comparison of the two screens. You can't get that with the plastic film still on the LG.

I just bought LG C2 and peeling off the protective film makes a huge difference. It was a mirror before that and I almost decided to return it but after peeling it off it is not that bad (similar to my Macbook). Btw I thought mine came without any protective film as it was not visible at all but I am sure all of them have a protective film :)

Does the Sony has a protective screen on it? At 0.29 you can see various dots on screen, looks like air bubbles.

I'm pretty sure the Sony just has a sticker on the right-hand side. I saw another unboxing video where the reviewer expected to find a film and was surprised there was none. In any event, I doesn't make sense to review any TV with the plastic film still on the screen.

Oh man, please remove that protective film on the LG. I had the 42 inch C2 and it made a huge difference when I removed it. I eventually returned the 42 inch by the way, as I could not justify the price for that size, especially for the small bedroom (I just tried / returned a 48 C1 in the room and it's the perfect size for 7 feet away). Anyhow, debating the C2 and A90K and now after seeing this comparison (and knowing what the 42 C2 was like), I'm thinking I may go for that 48 inch C2. Not digging the purple tint and don't see enough overall glare to combat dark scenes during sunny periods in the room. Thanks for this VID though, as I needed to see the A90K. I do wish the C2 had the A90K's stand though. Hate that LG kept the same design for the 48 inch, and the 42 inch legs look cheap in person, to bee honest. I guess the one thing going with the 48 inch is the old style looks more premium than that 42 inch (better sounding speakers too).

What made you leave the LG C1 48? I had to return mine due to it dying on the second day

@@alexvswrld I was able to get the 48" C2 for a couple hundred more. Figured I may as well get the latest and greatest. By the way, I tried the A90K but returned it as I found it didn't play well with my laptop at 120hz, the menu system was not to my liking, picture enhancements didn't wow me over the C1, and I found it looked a bit cheaper compared to the design of the 48" C1/C2 (Lazy LG's old design still looks good to me). Oh yeah, it was quite a bit more expensive than even the C2. The Sony's Google TV OS was fantastic though.

i have sony a90k. its so dim i cant watch any dark content on it. fps shooting games sucks as corners and ppl camping behind objects is full of "black crush" 😅
