There, just finished this monster and I am speachless. Very satisfying building process and great skill using the part asortment available in 42100. Defintely worth buying the set and the instructions as well. Unfortunately I have some problems with the buwizz app on my Samsung S7 - there is quite some lag between the app and the hubs. No such problems before directly with buwizz. Nonetheless: EXCELENT BUILD and clear enough instructions. Fantastic job Eric and MLonger.

Such a shame that Markus Kossman ran out of development time with the 42100, this would have been a wonderful official B-model, and I imagine Liebherr would have been pretty happy about it. Truly astounding job here Eric! Everything about this looks and feels so authentic, like it was actually designed by the folks at lego! I'll start building it once I've had my fun with your bobcat T870 b model, should be fun to use it to push the snow around come winter! Clever hub placement too! Accessible, yet unobtrusive. Thee suspension seems great as well. Hoping Liebherr sees this! This is the kind of thing that justifies the set's price for me, and surely many other builders- It's an incredibly versatile assortment of parts suitable for building a wide variety of tracked machines and vehicles. This model really seems to highlight that. Once you stomach the price, your'e easily looking at at least 50-60 hours of build time with all the alternate builds on rebrickable, including this and the main model. And at least as many hours of play. That's amazing.

Brilliant work. Love the design and functionality. At 1:18 scale according to your post on Eurobricks, this should go along nicely with Nico’s ~1:20 Kalmar heavy duty forklift and Lego’s own ~1:22 Volvo L350F Loader. You also mentioned the difficulty of integrating the new long linear actuators- how difficult would it be to swap them out with the old ones?

@M_longer and @erictrax Two questions about the stickers: I would like to keep any stickers of the original 42100. Does that require me to buy new pieces, or are the stickered pieces from the original not used in this moc? I would like to apply the custom stickers for this moc to pieces that I will not also have to use in the original. So, which parts are going to be stickered? Is there a list? I'll order spares for those pieces on bricklink then. And lastly: what a cool moc!
@EricTrax2 жыл бұрын
1) If I have applied my stickers to the R 9800 excavator you will only use one 5x11 panel. The remaining bricks with stickers will not be needed. 2) I don't have a list of bricks to add stickers to. In the building instructions, you will find information on where to apply the stickers. Then you can order additional blocks if you want to be able to build an excavator. To order stickers, please contact directly: technicprojects@gmail.com

Really nice to see instruction, control profile and custom stickers. All looks so professional. Hopefully I will find time to buy it instruction and build it. As model B it has technic parts only, not like Fendt 514c with many system parts. I need to figure out how to end model, because I stuck in the middle. Is it better to buy missing parts or finish to technic replacements?

Thank you for your opinion. As for building a fendt, I saw a different approach. Ordering bricks and building or replacing parts. Everyone builds as comfortable for him.

Hi Eric, Thanks for this! I just bought the Liebherr R 9800 before I even saw this. And I am happy I did. I intend to buy your instructions. Will that also tell me anything else I need to buy? .........other parts? About the BuWiz control.....is that an app, or a separate physical control? All this is for my 13 year old grandson who has built many Lego sets. I am not very technically savvy. Hope to hear back from you soon. Thanks, Steve Wilson

@@stevenwilson8106 You will not see this alternative model on the original box because the official set does not have it. This is a completely custom model, but using only the elements of the 42100 set that's why we called it "Model-B".
