I want to say thank you all for your advice. I have a balance disorder that I have had for 5 years and I have had difficulty staying positive. I have isolated myself from people. I have some neighbors who don't understand what it's like to use a wheelchair, and they judge me, so I have gotten in my head some because I don't want to make them feel uncomfortable, plus they bully me also. I am so so very glad that I came across your videos, so I can regain some of my muscle and able to strengthen my core, and help to lose weight. Thank you again sincerely Pam Patton

Hi Ben great video once again! I think I have previously told you this but not in so much detail. I started viewing your videos in 2018 and always flirted with the idea of exercise but never really stuck to it until August 2018 when I decided to make a change. I suffered from depression really bad from the age of 14 to 19 after my teaching assistant died at school and my mum got cancer amongst two other bereavements. I would never harm myself but I can genuinely say is Adapt to perform saved my life. Since that day when I did one of your earliest hitt workouts and was out of breathe after the first 8 minutes I know manage my mental health issues really well due to strategies and lifestyle changes that stemmed initially from this channel. To the point when I do have bad days I do something positive about it and know that it will pass through understanding how my brain works . I have also gone on to university this year and back in May of this year I did a 100 round charity boxing challenge on my punchbag raising money for where my teacher was looked after in a hospice before he died raising a total £8092.64. I have also just begun to go on the bus on my own in my electric wheelchair as I have cerebral palsy which has been massive for my independence! I’m having a small blip day today but thanks to the skills I have learned from yourself and others I always know that I will be alright and see it as a positive challenge! You have helped so many people thank you so much!

A wider variety of disabilities would have been better because people with spinal breaks lack the complexity of many conditions and can actually do way more by rebuilding muscle or using existing muscle which may be healthy.
@AdaptToPerform4 жыл бұрын
I did reach out to a wider variety including amputees, cerebral palsy and invisible illnesses. These are the only ones that could do it in time. Rich has muscular dystrophy which has alternative complications. Hopefully In the next one I can!

Im disabled due to an accident. I can still walk but rods and pins hold my back together. My only word of advice for anyone would be dont sit around get out and walk enjoy life because one day you might find it a stuggle to just get out the door let alone a walk. I used to take 20 mile walks for fun now I cant walk 10 feet.

Hello, Ben I want to introduce myself my name is Stacy Thompson and I am from the United States, From the Show Me state of Missouri. I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 9 months of age. I have struggled since then to show the world what I can do. I do not let my lifelong physical challenge define me as a person. I do my best to motivate people in the best way possible. I have created my own motivational speaking business, Serenity Mountain Motivational Speaking. What motivated you to start this channel, and what keeps you going when you get down?

The best advice I can give anyone out there is to always stay positive in the face of adversity I had to learn to not be angry about the situation that was in front of me but to learn to accept what I could not change but to embrace the abilities that I do have.

It’s a nice video, but honestly I hoped that you would have included someone with a mental disability. Before someone tells me that it’s different, go look at the definition of a disability. It can be mental or physical. Anxiety, depression, etc. is normally a disorder, it needs to be on a severe level for it to be considered a disability.

I reached out to lots of different people with different disabilities. These are the ones who wanted to get involved.
