What a beautiful travel video: quiet, measured, and authentic, and all about the most amazing city. I was last in Chongqing in 2014 (I can't believe that it was 10 years ago!), and before that I taught at an engineering college in Daxuecheng, Shapingba District for short periods in 2013 and 2012. I remember downtown Shapingba, Ciqikou, Hongyadong, Chaotianmen, and the docks so well. And of course, many hotpot meals! I have many student and teacher friends there. Thank you from Australia.

很喜欢你的背景音乐。就如你舒缓的叙诉历史的脉络。很美的国风。再轻一点会效果更佳

You have a pair of unique eyes to capture and present the different aspects of a Chinese Mega City. Good.

I love seeing port life of any cities in the world. 🇨🇳Thank you for filming the port and docks of Chongqing. I love seeing the workers’ lives, the origin of the hot pots. Rivers are the origination of a civilization, where people gather, lives peculate, trades and livelihoods form, and cities come to be! How moving to be connected to China this way via the old mother river the Yangtze. ❤️ You are a wonderful thoughtful film maker! jiayou!❤️👋👋

When I visited China a few years ago I saw many people using the spinning top similar to the one the elderly man was using at the beginning of the video. Can somebody please tell me the name of them as I would really like to buy one for myself.

that part of yangtze river is very deep at 64 metres. Once a bus derailed and dropped into river, divers went down to tie cables to let cranes lift it up.
Hi, i think your vidoes have great potential, however it isn't there yet in my opinion. I have 1 suggestion and 1 comment. My suggestion is that you should reduce the volume of your background music. It is way too loud and it drowns out your relatives quiet voice, so the point that it makes the videos unwatchable at times. My one comment that i have is that i really enjoy the moments where you are directly talking about what is happening in that moment, however, i find the sections where you narrate over your video a little too detached from the moment, as if you were reading a script. I plan to follow your videos for a bit and see your evolve as the channel progresses. Good luck!

My favorite part of this video is where the lady is playing with the top with a whip. She's so skillful at it. I'm vegan, so hot pot Chinese style is not of interest to me. Chongqing is a fascinating city with its modern buildings as well as a mix of old architecture.
