Very true and I kind of missed out on the PS2 craze I mean I got into Shinigami and Persona games back when I discovered the PSP emulation thing and then I decided to give this game called Persona 3 Portable try and then I liked it that was back in 2014 when I discovered this and then later on I ended up you know being into it it got me into anime in general as well and the possibility that there was a world out there a subculture where there's dubbed and pretty much that with the Wii U and being bored of the Wii U at the time when it launched I discovered Netflix and when Netflix I discovered anime and all this stuff you know a lot of things have to correlate for me to love Persona in general

Play old games, watch old movies/TV shows, and listen to old music. That's what I do, and it's awesome. :) I've even spent a ton of money on original consoles, high quality analog cables, CRT TVs, flash carts/ODEs, etc. It's like my own time machine. ^_^

In terms of nostalgia, I have a lot of nostalgia right now, Persona 3 was the first game my father gave me in 2007, he didn't understand about video games but he knew I liked them and that it would make me happy, when the Reload announcement came out I started looking for my old PS2 that I had stored with the game still on it, I ended up replaying the 2007 game once again days before buying P3 Reload, Why did I do that? Because now that my father is no longer alive the game acquired a huge emotional and nostalgic weight, seriously thank you very much for making Reload because now I will be the one who gives it to my newborn son when he is old enough to play his first video game, I love you Atlus

As someone that did play it in late 2007 as a teen, I never would've thought enough people would be getting nostalgic over it considering how niche it was, with few having even heard of it. Persona's rise in popularity happened over many years as word of mouth spread and never really died out.

persona 3 fes was my first persona game in 2013. got it on psn on ps3, will never forget how much joy the game brought to me... and how it literally made me buy a vita just for persona 4 golden. what a damn series fr. but i cant imagine the ppl playing p3 in 2007. def seems like it would hit way harder for them. yall were def the most special ones to experience this game from the beginning and even more special if you played from the start of the series.

P3 was my introduction to the Persona series. it was honestly the first game that showed me just how much emotional depth can go into a game. It made me think a lot about life and appreciate it for its little, good moments, despite overwhelming hardships. Putting on Reload for the first time really felt like coming full circle. 2007 huh? I graduated high school and never had any love for it. Or at least that’s what I thought before playing vanilla P3. The setting really made me miss the memories I had with my friends and classmates. I remember getting a burned ISO cd for a modded PS2 for dirt cheap. (Sorry Altus, I now own multiple titles legit) . Getting a video game title I’ve never heard of before and mainly got it because I thought the box art was cool. That was my introduction to the Persona series and glad I made that decision.

I never played the original persona 3. I didn’t know about the series until the original persona 5 where I played it. I fell in love with it and bought royal. When P3P and P4 came out on PlayStation 4/5 I immediately bought them. I’m glad I was able to experience this series.

Unfortunately, I was too young to get into the Persona series when the third game came out, but despite that, I still feel what I like to call "phantom nostalgia" for the game whenever I play the original. Persona 3 is my absolute favorite game of all time.

As a teen, I remember being out on the hunt for great jrpgs back in late 2007, having being disappointed by other mediocre rpgs at the time, when I stumbled across this odd looking game that was an rpg mixed with dating sim elements and dungeon crawling. I remember being on the fence about trying it out, but I'll always be happy I made the choice to give it a go. It was and still is an incredible game that was ahead of its time, one that unknowingly came at the right moment in my life as it helped me move on from the sudden death of a good friend.
