First “Real” Ride On My New Grom! What’re My Plans?

I did it! As most of you guessed, I ended up buying the Grom! It was honestly a no-brainer. In this video I go for my first "real ride" on my new Honda Grom, talk about all of my plans with the new bike, and stop for some Rise Up coffee and taco truck tacos along the way.

100% right about manifesting dreams! I used to go for walks around the neighborhood I bought my house in and imagine what it would be like to pull into one of these driveways and call it my own. I appreciate it every time I get home. Learned it from playing golf, my dad would tell me to imagine the shot before I took a swing. Worked there and found it works off the course too haha. Need to imagine and work at it.

Sick bro! I’ve always wanted a grom but was always told that groms are a million times more fun when they run with other groms (a buddy or group). As for the orange, don’t hold back. If you’re contemplating mixing and matching, I recommend using a wrap. It would be super simple to apply on a bike like that.

If you go orange with this, I'd do a medium metallic orange, but I'd look into vinyl wrapping the existing plastics. Personally I also like the white.

Check out the Duro HF903 tires. We have them on our Lifan KP-Mini and fit the Grom. Super nice for off road (and street).

Don't know if that case mod comes with oil pump mod. Probably more orange colors in paint than wraps (Florida Orange is out there). When I see grassy overlooking the water, I'm thinking yoga mat and picnic..., owners might totally freak out. I just set up a new fishing bag for my Grom yesterday, and there are rear stunt cages that might double as rack for picnics... Orange stunt cages, aka baby Duke?

If you want to change the color, just wrap it to whatever color you want then if you want to go back to white just pull the wrap off.

Orange is nice, but white too. I would think about making it this tricolor style like Africa Twin etc. I would remove the front thing and make it more naked. The exhaust looks excellent! Are there any skidplates for the grom available? I also think of sth similar, or a monkey, or a skyteam monkey/gorilla... Good luck on the house on beach, currently me and my wife start to manifest having a tiny ranch with two horses, chickens ... and a 125 for riding in the vincinity around it :D

Still gonna be riding the Rebel plenty, the excitement of a new bike is still just fresh with me. Plus, the Grom will help with keeping content coming on the channel since there’s still not really any parts available for the Rebel which limits video ideas a bit. IF I get another bike (which I really shouldn’t lol) it would probably be a sport bike or another sport touring. I’d love to get a dual sport like a DRZ too, but I’m little poor right now haha

I’m not sure on sprockets yet. I had thought about going down a tooth in the front or bigger in the rear to make wheelies easier, but I don’t know if I want to miss out on the already lacking top speed.

The Grom is cool, unfortunately I'm too big for it. But the rebels, the 300, 500, and 1100, are by far the UGLIEST bikes Honda has ever sold in the U.S. In fact I think they are probably the ugliest bikes anyone has sold in the U.S., by a long way. As he current owner of a 2016 Rebel 250, and former owner of 1985, 1999, and 2004 Rebel 250s, which I think are beautiful bikes, Honda couldn't have messed up worse. Why did they have to use the Rebel name on these abominations?

I had mine stolen from my gyms parking lot. Went in to work came out and she was gone. Since these are so light easy for a couple of guys to scoop and place in a pickup truck or whatever. Just warning you to secure your bike. Best wishes.
