I’d say go for it. Places will send you all kinds of accessories for free which you can review then after a year or so you can sell it and get something else and do it all over again.

Yes, buy it. But you need one with +++ power as KTM has. So if you can have both will be perfect.

Saw the 719 in person when I picked up my new K1600GTL, it's a really slick bike, the camera doesn't pickup how good that color combo really looks.

Set up is the most important thing on the 1300..I took one out for an hours test ride and tbh it wasn’t very impressive ..I then took my current GS in for a service and they offered it me for 4hours which I snapped their hands of ..messed around with the settings (mainly suspension) and it was a different bike , loved it

Yep sometimes it's like riding on a cloud and a bounce house. Sometimes it's more like a racebike suspension 😁

I rode the Ducati Pikes Peak and BWM 1300 GS back to back. I found that switching to the GS I felt disconnected from the road and the motorcycle. Surprised me as going in I was just going to scratch off the Pike Peak against the GS. Shopping for a new one now. Cheers

At least with a boxer, if you drop it, it doesn’t fall flat…making it easier to pick up.

I have the @Alpinstars Bogota drystar. Good price , multiple layers you can take out , rain jacket inside or you can use it on the outside. Fully open it up and all...like it 😁

How is the gearbox? I got mine option 719 for 4 month now 4k km on it and sometimes it shifts gears really bad and i wonder if it will last and sometimes it is shifting like ZF gearbox in mine X5 really smooth so not 100% satisfied here. The rest of the bike is 💯

No gearbox issues besides me goofing around an do miss shift here or there. Might become more smooth after some time 😊

Already took the S1000XR on review ride. Waiting for the M1000XR now. I love the sound of the XR and high rpm's but for more comfort cruising I'm taking the GS 😎

Stelvio is a very nice bike , nice feeling for the money it costs. But the more horsepower and BMW suspension would do it for me 😊

I really don't understand this unnecessary criticism over something way better than the old ones. I can understand your preferences but to out right shun something based on your assumptions is really not justified. Any new product will have some teething problems the first year or so but BMW service and warranty is there for 36k miles and 3 years. I still have a 2013 BMW K1600 GTL with just as much technology minus the keyless ignition and adaptive cruise control reaching 29k miles without a hiccup. Where as I had a Kawasaki 2012 Concourse 14 which had a major seal leak at 15k miles.
