I'm probably the poster guy for not doing Keto/Carnivore the "right" way. I'm very inconsistent. Sometimes I go keto, sometimes carnivore. Sometimes I'm 2MAD, sometimes I'm OMAD. I practice dirty keto almost every day by drinking no sugar-sweetened drinks like iced tea. And I cheat on average once every two weeks or so by indulging in some carb-heavy foods such as pasta, pizza, breads, rice, potatoes, burgers & other sammies, and even occasional desserts. And yet during this period I've managed to drop 70 lbs, lower my A1c from 6.8 to 5.3, and my blood panels have never been better. Go figure.

@@traceyb3231 Thanks. The main reason I posted the above is for those who wonder if they can commit to a lifetime of something like Keto/Carnivore and at the same time ditch all high carb & sugar foods. My example is you can really have it both ways....to a point. My life is now overwhelmingly on the ketovore side of the equation, and will remain so till I'm six feet under. But nevertheless every now and then I indulge in the dark side!! LOL

Agree, occasional cheats (not often) are ok and essential to life. Also doing keto - with slip ups every 5 or so days.

Same, I try to stick with carnivore but have periods of being sick of it, my body literally tells me 'no' don't eat more meat, milk, eggs and butter. Go eat the potatoes and carbs. I think the idea that we are addicted to carbs as if they are some evil posion isn't correct for everyone, people have been ominivorous forever and have thrived. As Lillie says there are advantages to just about all foods. I really see a carnivore diet or animal based diet as a tool for healing and weight loss, for sure cutting animal foods out completely has negative effects on me vice versa, no carbs what so ever also doesn't feel that great to me. I'm just going to make sure I eat plenty of animal foods and eat some of the other food groups too when I want to.

Got yelled at all my life for too much butter and eating the fat on steak. My, how that has changed! Also, I am a hero now to my kids because I don't force them to eat their veggies. :)

Ayyyyyeeeee! I'm glad your kids are happy about that! It's like as kids we know certain foods we don't enjoy the taste and therefore want to eat, but "we have to because they are the healthiest foods for us". I actually always thought nastiest food and therefore, what I thought was the healthiest was BEETS. I didn't eat them, I just couldn't, that's where I draw the line.

At 55 I enjoy being outdoors and exploring, but the joint pain made it so difficult. For one month, I fasted 22 hours a day, ate from 6 to 9 pm only. I stopped all sugar, bread, fast food and processed food. I eat anything I want as long as its natural. The joint pain was gone in ten days. 3 month now and lost 20 pounds, 180, 160, I feel better the more sugar I get from fruit. I eat all organic, grass fed etc. Nuts, veggies, fruit, meat, not sure what diet it's called, but no more joint pain, no heartburn, so I will never eat processed food again

I really hurt myself copying what others do - I can’t do… coffee, dairy even butter & ghee, egg, pork, too much fat, too much salt 😮 and I did all of those from following others carnivore diet ideas.

Todays video really touched home and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you putting your personal life on the channel. Following this diet has allowed me to achieve the incredible success mentally physically financially etc etc. For years family and friends would come to me asking for diet advice and it was incredibly draining because I wanted to help everyone. following the carnavore diet for as long as I have you're constantly questioned by everyone which invites people to become intrigued but 90% of the time they'll just go back to their normal life after wasting your time again and again. Because I never drink smoke do drugs and never will you're eliminating yourself from various crowds of average people but anyone who's eating a SAD diet is not very mentally or Physically stable to begin with because of the long term damage from not following good lifestyle protocols. carnavore especially raw caravore makes you super human but you lose friends and loved ones along the way. what I woule consider a rare cheat day is what most people eat 3 meals per day. ketogenic carnavore people live a lonely life because of the weak masses who live in the moment.
@syproductions4562 жыл бұрын
Lillie, I agree with every part of this video apart from no 4, 'not telling people about your diet', there is a fine balance there. Say somebody's goal is indeed to get healthy and they think perhaps a change in diet will work, who can they turn to if people do not share that there is another diet that helped them? If we tell the world we feel good because of a diet choice and those people decide to try the same diet and get good results, we've helped them greatly. It's another form of 'love' sharing what has worked for us. Of course, there is also there is a wrong way to do it too, which is to be evangelical and obnoxiously annoying about it. People can know your diet and the good it did for you, but at the end of the day it's up to them what they want to do with their lives and diet.

I have probably spoken up too much about the topic myself. Think for the most part will just chill and let others find their own way unless they specifically ask for help. 100% Lillie - every food has value at some point, whilst I now fill my days with animals and their products and will stick with this the majority of the time, once in a while the value in the occasion may negate the strictness of what I do normally, an example would be Christmas where friends and family gather, eat food, drink and enjoy each others company - I'll still base my meal around my usual fare but I'm not going to deny the treats that are specific to that time of the year, particularly when my loved ones take pleasure in providing things they know you love. In those moments I have no problem deviating, it's the dose that matters.

I spent four years eating my morning eggs with nonsense. Two years of eggs with spinach and mushrooms every morning, cooked in butter. Eventually spinach started making me gag when I would put it in my mouth. The mushrooms seemed logical, but eventually those made me gag too. I've since been doing bacon, frying my eggs in the grease made from the bacon. I never get sick of it for breakfast and it always holds me down for my whole work day. I wish I could go back and get all my money back for the snacks I was eating towards the end of the day back then.

The most interesting thing is they either won’t even try a change, or enter into debates on how wrong or dangerous it is to eat this way knowing I lost over 100 pounds and turned my health completely around..! When asked how many books on nutrition they’ve read the answer is usually zero. Hmm..

Enjoyed video, heard your experience..., and mine seems to be a near mirroring in some things. Nice knowing others having similar experiences. (ie) the eggs have found after first couple of months found had had all the eggs I want or care for, which seems odd as I loved eating eggs growing up...but currently (last couple of weeks) reintroduced just the raw egg yokes to go with my bacon or ground beef for dipping and enjoy both eating of the yokes in this manner and as well the nutritional boost I swear seems to come next day. It almost seems to feel as an energy booster to brain functions. But the whites, I stopped as they make me want to gag. So cook them up later and feed to night critters roaming the area...which seem to not be turn away... as next day cooked up whites are always gone. A win win (for me and the wild life roaming nearby) But learning most all that you spoke of in video hold true here too. Good video. Only 7 months in Carnivore, coupled to huge weigh reduction that isn't exaggerated as it is solid. Approx 80-85lbs now. And of course share your views, wanted to share with a couple of relatives... have leaned to just let things be and be the aging poster-boy by example they can ask or not. Works for me. 🤗
