I am so glad I added this video to some of your other ones. This is the third workout with this one using 3lb. weights. My arms are sore but am starting to notice a difference in my muscles and abdomen. Thanks so much. I have been doing them every third day so I can really recover nicely. For those of you who haven't exercise for decades..get moving. I am 66 and boy was I out of shape four months ago. Thought that carrying my granddaughters and chasing them was enough..haha on me.

Nice ! Added this one in my workout routine. Almost 1 month i'm following and doing daily your lower body workout video (The inner thigh challenge - the burner - and lower body challenge). The first days woke up my butt and thighs muscles, lol :) they were shaking and burning like never before. This feeling was weird at the beginning but i'm enjoying it now! After just a month I already feel and see the change mostly in my thighs ! It's awesome. Thx Linda !

cindarella023 Hi, have you tried my cardio sculpt express workout? kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJyXnXZrbdWIsKc That one is total body. Also, the 5 best exercises series are all shorter workouts with 60 second intervals followed by 10 second rest, they each target a different body part so are great to mix and match. Here's the playlist with all 11 workouts: kzbin.info/aero/PLzDFFkf4D5gBvDyOlEQXg9ov_wCiDwHdO I have heaps of other workouts available for purchase on my website as either downloads or in DVD format. A lot of them are total body workouts. I have bundle deals available or single workouts start at AU$3.99. Here is the link if you are interested: www.workoutdvdworld.com.au/welcome/total_body_downloads/ I will definitely do some combo upper and lower vids for youtube as well :)

+Amy F - I can't reply to your messages because you have a restriction on your account. But to answer your question, it will burn the hip flexors because when you raise your legs up you automatically use a bit of hip flexor as well. The higher you raise your legs the less hip flexor you use and the more lower abs so maybe try doing that next time :)

What is a realistic amount of exercises for beginners? What would you recommend are the most effective exercises to start with?
@barlatesbodyblitz
@barlatesbodyblitz 5 жыл бұрын
It really depends on quite a few factors like your overall health, whether you have ever exercised before, what your goals are. If you start with 30 mins 5 days a week and mix in some cardio and sculpting that may be your best bet. I have a number of beginners series that you could start with. 😊

I loved the arms section but was discouraged at how 'hip--flexor-y' the abs sections was. Any tips on how to move it from my hf to by abs?
@barlatesbodyblitz
@barlatesbodyblitz 5 жыл бұрын
If you bend your knees and don't go as low to the ground it should help with hip flexors. Once the hip flexors get stronger you will find that they don't take over as much either. 😁

Thank you for your challenging workout! I have a question though: you demonstrate several exercices working the hip flexors towards the end of your video, whereas I thought strenghtening these muscles should be avoided. What is your opinion?
@barlatesbodyblitz
@barlatesbodyblitz 8 жыл бұрын
HI, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It is good to strengthen any muscle as long as you also stretch to ensure that they are not tight afterwards. With the exercises in this workout you are using lower belly as well as hip flexor to lift the legs so that is why I have included them. If you prefer to take the hip flexor out of them you can do these lying down instead. :)

My hip flexers get extremely sore doing some of these exercises. Is there a way to strengthen them?
@barlatesbodyblitz
@barlatesbodyblitz 7 жыл бұрын
Hi, the hip flexors tend to take over when your lower belly isn't strong enough. Eventually as your lower belly gets stronger you will be able to issue the exercise from there rather than your hip flexors. You can try keeping your legs bent in all of the extended leg exercises and if you lie down flat rather than staying up on your elbows it takes the hip flexors out as well. Good luck!
