He was in Israel when there it EXPLODED into war and he was stuck in a University office complex n couldn't leave it or the country. This one hits close to home . . . My ex-wife, who is not known for her expansive knowledge of music, turned me on to the Cranberries back in 1994, when we first moved back to the States . . . Last band I was in, when we were doing soundcheck, we had a guy and girl who sang, and she'd always sing the line "It's that little souvenir, of a terrible year, which makes my eyes feel sore". Unrelated note, different band I played in, one of our vocalists would always sing "I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, that much is true..." hehe.
