I get what Laura is saying…but I feel like this is common with women, when a man says he’s not looking for a relationship right now - they often view that as “I’m not ready to be in a relationship right now….but when I’m ready we can be in a relationship”. But that’s not always the case.

Im glad you said it. But if you notice Yee and Gigi tried to lead her to the truth within herself. She's embarrassed and didnt want to admit it. when Yee said do you think you really wanted a relationship...she actually meant you did want one. Laura said she didnt want one..then turned right around and said yes.I would have proceeded if he asked me..but slowly..which in reality means that guy could have proposed and she would have said yes

Laura is not living in reality. Regardless of the time she spent with the dude, he told her in the beginning that he didn’t want a relationship (the with HER was silent). As soon as her feelings went beyond the scope of what they had initially discussed which was that they both supposedly didn’t want a relationship, she should’ve communicated that she wanted more and then left him alone, but she believed that eventually he would change his mind like hers changed. (or she always wanted a relationship with him and thought she could eventually change his mind). The child thing was an excuse, her son is literally a 21 year old grown man who would not be involved in their relationship, that was a nice way of letting her know that he just didn’t want to be with HER specifically. She was simply a friends with benefits situation unfortunately and she should’ve been honest that she wanted more. She’s still in denial about wanting to be with him. That man didn’t lead her on. He told her initially he didn’t want a relationship. A good lesson for people to see that believe what people tell you and stop trying to change their minds!!!! Also stop doing relationship things with people you aren’t with. They should either be your strictly platonic friend or y’all are together. It helps keep things defined & helps avoid hurt later on.

And this is exactly how a lot of women hurt their own feelings! They dated, he realized they weren't compatible enough for a relationship and moved on with his life. Yet, she's still talking about "his loss" and "he'll be back". 🤦🏾‍♀️

@@strell85 exactly, but I do feel like from the get go he just wanted a friend he could causally hang out and have sex with & nothing more. he didn’t even want to call what they were doing “dating”. she caught feelings and thought he would eventually want her like that. women & men need to listen to what people are telling them and stop being delusional!!! like you said she hurt herself here 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yep!!! She’s lying to herself. She can’t even admit that she loves him despite her saying she’s in love with him. SMH she needs to take responsibility and realize that man never lied or gaslighted her she wanted more than what he wanted to give and he explained it in the beginning she just look passed it and tried to figure out if she liked him and ended up falling in love but she should’ve remembered they both set an expectation that they weren’t looking for anything serious. So yea she has to Bite the bullet on this one 🤷🏾‍♂️

Laura was frustrating with me. I understand her disappointment but I feel whe short changed herself. I think deep down inside she wants a relationship as she deserves that so she probably shouldn't be dating anyone right now as she is working on herself. You said you didnt want a relationship so why would he have to tell you the reason why he didnt want a relationship? yall already said yall aint want one. 2.It wasnt the fact that you had a child. He just used that as an excuse. When you dont want to be with someone you start looking for reasons why it wont work and you having a kid seemed like the most understanding excuse. It was YOU. It wasnt your child If a dude want you, one child isnt going to change his mind. He just wasnt in love with you. Coulda been your personality. Could be not as fun as you think you are or it coulda been the fact that he wants to be more sexually attracted to you that what he is.

This was a really great conversation! Humble’s energy settles over everyone in the room and keeps things calm and Angela knew exactly how much to prod and when to scale things back. With Laura’s situation I would say an honest thing is that when she says dating is getting to know each other, and figuring out if you’re compatible, that really wasn’t what it was for her. She already knew she could love that man, she was looking to see if she could trust him, and once she did, he bounced, and that’s what hurt. He was upfront though, and at first he just wasn’t ready for a relationship, and after getting to know her, he decided she wasn’t for him. She can say, I should have never let you in then if you knew, but the thing is, he didn’t. That may hurt more, but he had to know her to know she wasn’t for him. What’s harsh is taking that personally, because just because someone isn’t for you, doesn’t mean you have no value. Anyone that’s ever been divorced has to grow through that, especially if you have children together, because you can only trash someone so long in your head or your heart before you have to accept that yes, at one time you wanted that person real bad, but if they were for you, you two would still be together. This guy set a standard for Laura, because now she knows, whether you’re going to be around forever or not, she wants to be treated a certain way, and there’s nothing wrong with that! She’ll also be faster to trust, because either you’re in or you’re out. You don’t have to “grow” to be trustworthy, you are or you aren’t… the time is building a track record of that trust being tested. If ya’ll ever hit your comments section, know that I appreciate all the vulnerability you express on this channel and it’s been great hearing different perspectives on love, sex, and relationships. In the same way women want to know if a man can make things happen, no matter the circumstances, and keep a cool head, men want to know that women can take emotional stress, can take mental challenge, and can face uncertainty, while still being a soft place to land. You can be superwoman out here to take over the world, but when he comes to you, do you want a lover or a son? Do you want a partner or a subordinate? If you want to flip roles around you have to be honest about how you really feel, but also know, who is *for you* dances with you, in this life roleplay thing. You can be mommy, and baby, and wife, and girlfriend, and sister, and friend. The list goes on, but the more we consider our roles as souls in different lifetimes, the easier it is to think about being in different roles with the same person, and all of them being fine existing at the same time. It’s a mind trip, but when you look at behaviors you can see it, and being human is a really interesting experience. Anyway, I love the content you guys are putting out, I don’t know a lot of these guests but there’s always a good conversation.

I honestly don’t feel like Laura was living in “lala land“. They both agreed on what their situation was from the beginning. He clearly led Laura on to believe he was interested when he wasn’t at all(that’s the issue). Laura issue wasn’t with him saying he didn’t want anything serious(she didn’t want anything serious either). It was the fact that he made her think he was actually interested when he wasn’t. You can be interested in someone, but not want a serious relationship with them. I feel like she was open and upfront, but he wasn’t. He went from taking her out the country, taking her on multiple dates, calling/texting consistently. Just to say we weren’t actually dating and I’m actually not interested in you because you have a kid 🤨. According to society norms they were dating whether he thought so or not. I have my own views though on the words “dating” and “single” though so my opinions might be a little different from others.

@@te3797 When he noticed she was catching feelings, he reminded her of their initial agreement. She wanted an explanation as to why he didn't change his mind like she did in this short time span. He told her he wasn't interested in her long term because she has children. Perhaps, he doesn't want to be a parental figure and/or wants his first child to be with a woman who doesn't have children. Also, he probably chose to spend his time with her because he didn't expect a mother to fall in love because she should be preoccupied with her children. However, in the meantime, he was being an attentive, affectionate, and generous companion because he valued her time unlike the other men she was supposedly dating too. Hopefully, she will learn that this is how all men should treat her during a short or long term companionship.

All of that, he may have not thought she would catch feelings stuff is bs. Even if she said she was cool just hanging out at first. Women can't hide when they are falling for you and he knew he didn't take her seriously way before that 4 months was up. She would literally gush about him on this show. If I knew she was in love, he knew.(Laura still has fault too, she's too old to be acting like a ditzy school girl) That was an asshole move & it doesn't make it better just because he said he didn't want anything serious. There are too many woman out here to be doing shit like that. He could have fell back after he got the ass, like most grown men do Just my opinion. "You don't shop-lift the punany from a single mother"-Cuba Gooding Jr. (Jerry McGuire)

15:20-15:35 Damn to me that's pretty, because she gave you something that meant a lot to her, because it was for her father. So you can consider that a family heirloom. 💯🤞🏾💯 That's serious I'm not about to give someone a family heirloom that's tied to my bloodline.

He did not want to raise another man child….. and it’s ok for him to feel that way. It hurt you to hear him say it, but it’s a lot of use that feel that way. She know she definitely like him and caught feeling.

I don't agree. No grown woman should really be playing games, we know why we're here. A woman denying me what she gave another man, whom she now sees as unworthy would make me curve her. If she's not a virgin, she playing games.
