Hello , thank you so much for this recipe . My sister was able to follow all steps and make this delicious layered bread , at the age of 15 . We really enjoyed it , your explainations are the best , your recipes never fail , as she ( my sis ) also made croissant from you { btw both were her fisrt time making them but she've already baked so much more }. I just made this bread, it turns out inside so soft & outside a bit crispy. The measurements just exactly like on the recipe. No regret waiting so long for the proofing & lamination.

So I did make this and can vouch the recipe is good. Mine turned out as good as shown and I'll keep this recipe in my arsenal because it's soooo YUMMY. So thank's heaps to the uploader. We ate one fresh and I froze the other. I put the frozen one in my air fryer (still frozen) @ 190C degrees for 5 minutes and the glazing had in part crystalised and turned whitish and found that added layer of crispness to the outside was even better.

Hello! I made this recipe today and they just got out of the oven. It looks so good I couldn't wait for it to cool completely down and... It's so good!! First time I managed to make a laminated dough perfectly. Thank you very much for the recipe!! But next time I think I'll put more sugar or maybe syrup on top

Yes, as for the dough, you can either freeze or chill in fridge. Freeze for 20 mins or chill in fridge for about 30 mins.

I have tried 4 times, the first issue I ran into was rising. That is overcame. Now the 2nd issue is butter breaking. I can see little pieces of butt in the dough. Any suggestions? I followed your video to the tee.

If your room temperature is not very high, you can chill the dough in the fridge instead of freezer . After taking it out from the fridge, use the rolling pin to press the dough gently and roll the dough from the middle to the two ends. If you find the dough is too soft to handle, put it back to the fridge, chill for a while and roll it again.
What is Bakers Flour? Is it the same like bread flour?

Hi Lisa, I don’t have milk powder and condensed milk. Can I substitute them with heavy whipping cream or omit them altogether? Or if you have any suggestions on the substitutions, please let me know. Thanks for another good recipe. Please keep up the good work.

You can use milk instead of milk powder and water, but you've got to adjust the ingredients. If 100g of water is added, you need to add 110g milk instead of water and milk powder. For the condensed milk, cream is not the best substitute, however, as the amount is not much, you can use cream instead. Since cream contains at least 33% of fat, the dough will be a bit sticky and requires longer mixing time.
