THERE ARE is grammatically correct but 'there's four' and that kind of thing has become extremely common in spoken English -- So much so that I have noticed even myself doing it! I actually talk about that in a video coming out this summer.

Rachel you're the greatest teacher thanks to your videos and all the tools you gave me (The Phonetic Chart, Your Ben Franklin Exercises, your tips on watching movies with caps on etc, thanks to all of that I'm able to speak this way, I'll be coming back to your videos now since I've been losing some fluency and my pronunciation is getting worse because of lack of practice! But again thank you so much for helping me. And please keep teaching others! I'm the living proof that with hard work and with a great English teacher like you. Anyone can get fluent and get rid of their accent and be able to speak English The American Way 👌

Hello Rachel, hello Tom... This was a very useful video and so practical. Accent, rythm or stress on syllabes (or music according you) are forgotten for no native speakers when we try to talk. Knowing and learning the general structure of English, accent is the next step... Thanks a lot. I think that understood...

As a musician I always believed that speaking English is about imitating the native speakers tones. It matters more than your vocabulary and grammar. There're many dialects people speak around the world and you can pass as a native speaker if you have a right tone and pitch and intonation and whatever comes with it.

Thank you so much for this video. It was very helpful. It opens new ideas and questions about the English sound pattern. This video demonstrates that there is an upper level of "superwords" or as you said "thought groups" that is just as important to learn as individual words. I wonder if these melodies or the sound they produce, like Tom did with the clips, have been already classified elsewhere. This video also made me reflect on my own strategies to teach my native language, Spanish. Gracias!
