@GHOSTLYWHISPERS2 ай бұрын
These people worked 16 hours a day 6 days a week for many years. This will cause you to live a very unhealthy lifestyle. Kate Mulgrew of "Voyager" said she almost quit the show because of the grueling working hours. The actress who accepted the role before her quit because of it. Patrick Stewart said the only reason he even agreed to do "Picard" was that he insisted he'd only work 8 hours a day. All his scenes were shot 1st and by 12 noon he was gone home while the others worked till 3am, only to be back on set by 9am. Hollywood chews these actors up and spits them out

I am struck that so many of the actors died within just a few years of their appearance in the franchise...and so many seemed to have died young. I have watched the various shows, seen countless re-runs. And although a cliche' these people live on through their performances. They will never die in that sense. In fact, they are still there right now, waiting to come alive again at the next viewing. That's not a bad legacy to leave behind.

John Anderson was great in his TNG episode as kind of an unofficial Q. I loved him as Kenesaw Moutain Landis in 8 men out. I believe he has a bit part in Hitcock's Psycho in the beginning as well. Nancy Parsons was a really good character actress. It is too bad Porky's is a forgotten great comedy. She was just a great heel in that. I didn't realize Richard Lynch passed. He was always a REALLY good villain, even in the B movie roles he got. Mark La Mura is a sad one for me. He was a featured character on a TNG episode and a few months later he was doing a stage production at the theater as I was working at. Really nice guy. He was pumped when I told him I recognized him from TNG.
