Little Stint (juvenile) Marazion. Cornwall.

Another visit to Marazion today, watching the numerous small waders that have gathered on the beaches near the mount. One in particular caught my eye. This rather obliging juvenile Little Stint foraging around the seaweed covered rocks. These tiny waders are indeed the smallest of our regularly occurring waders mainly arriving in autumn as they leave their breeding areas in the Arctic heading south to their wintering grounds in Africa and south Asia.
