Anne Rice admitted that she felt regret for not including Louis more in the story and she had a plan to expand his story. So adding more Louis is actually canon, even book purists can’t argue that. Rolin will invent something for sure. I’m pretty sure, moving forward, we will have a trio Louis, Lestat and Armand as the main trio.

They are making spin offs way too soon. The smarter move to do would be focus heavily on one show, since it’s your launching off point to get people invested into this world your building ESPECIALLY if you know the caliber of writers, directors, and actors you are dealing with. I would definitely pour all my time and energy into making that show achieve some at least mid level of wide acclaim, before moving on. Considering this show broke the 1st book in half, I would say the appropriate timing would have been season 4 or 5 of interview with the vampire. Then I would have come out with the Talamesca series first, especially since they have already started to ingratiate that order in this first series. In season 3/4 (if we do get it) that will be Queen of the damned. The Talamasca first makes its appearance in this book of the vampire chronicles. I would make their role a little larger and use that as a backdoor pilot to launch the Talamasca show. Then use that show to introduce Mayfair. With how AMC is moving… I don’t think we are going to get this show for very long. Which is very sad…

The rest of the books will not work without Claudia's death. Since they are trying to do that in fact taking aspects from other books eg louis attempt is fuelled by Claudia.

Louis calling Daniel "boy" was such a callback from season 1 when he calls him that and Daniel snaps back.

i think louis eating behavior/moral compass is really interesting, because I saw someone say eating animals( or not killing often enough) is basically an eating disorder for vampires which explains why lestat said he was skipping meals etc. so louis doing all that AND killing 128 and more guys to me feels like when you have an esting disorder and eat way to little and then come the days where you just binge eat out of frustration, so you deprive yourself so long that you become irrational

The showrunners have said they plan on keeping Jacob Anderson on and expanding Louis' role beyond the role he plays in the books if they go more seasons so he won't be a background character to Lestat. They know how stupid of a move it'd be if they got rid of him lol

Louis told Armand to spare Daniel because Daniel gave something special to him. The fact that Louis attacked him doesn’t change that. I’m pretty sure Louis feels bad for doing that. So I don’t see a contradiction there at all. As for “the testament of our relationship” part, I think Louis is trying to spin it by saying that even this incident did not manage to ruin their relationship. Not very convincing but Armand goes with it because he can’t say no to Louis.

I LOVE this show - I need to go and watch all your reviews of it now. Haven't seen any. I'm a die hard book fan, read them all many times, own the audiobooks which are great. I love the adaptation. A LOT. I think Louis will always be around but not the main anymore. He is so unstable and he's like that in the books too. I love how they have adapted Armand too. It's very true to books with new scenes. They have the essence of these characters to a T. Armand is a selfish jerk always wondering why no one loves him, when everyone does love him but not his way like he wants.

I thought that was the point, in all these interviews I don’t think they spit every little detail, they just show us audience for dramatic effect. As movies are supposed to do

The Talmasca does not protect as much as watch and record information about the supernatural. They are like historians and been around since the middle ages. They do help some people born with psychic and other abilities. Sometimes recruit into the organization.

Yeah exactly. They’re more like scholars and anthropologists, with a few members that break “code” and try to get involved or be more active. But they’re not action heroes or secret agents, in the books at least. Curious to see how they adapt them into this tv world. I didn’t watch Mayfair to know what they were like there.

They DID end up together. Read "Blood Communion" -- the last book Anne Wrote for the VC 📚 b4 she transitioned ⚰️.

im rolling my eyes about the talamasca show. like... just put it in interview with the vampire or the mayfair witches. (i dont even mess w/the mayfair witches show but their story originally cropped up in that one before it bled over to the vampire chronicles). the talamasca doesn't even protect anybody they're basically just archivists of supernatural stuff if i recall correctly, which is interesting but not a whole lot on its own imo.

I'm ok with spin offs but if they are not as good as "Interview with the vampire", I think they should not even try to make them. Because I don't think is good for " interview with the vampire ". Not enough people are watching the show already, so bad spin offs won't help with its popularity.
